Views on social issues could cost him Republican Party's nomination
Can't post USAToday content, but basically this article states that most Republicans don't know the full extent of Giuliani's liberal positions. When they learn he is pro abortion rights, pro gay rights, pro gun control, he probably won't get the nomination. And they say this is according to "GOP pollster," Tony Fabrizio.

MOST of us here on FR know that RINO-rudy was NOT one of them.
"...is what he did / did not do after the 93 attack"
Dinkins was Mayor in '93....but what the heck...
Sean Hannity needed to wipe his chin after todays show. But I answer NO.
I want both, and I refuse to hold my nose at the ballot box again.
I definitely won't vote for Rudy.
I don't know how the NYC mayor picks judges, but I am guessing any NYC mayor is considerably more constrained -- think of the overwhelmingly left-Dem political makeup of the City's legislature -- to pick non-conservatives than any President would be to pick Scalias.
I don't think "many Dems" support even the domestic war on Terror, no. Both Pelosi and Reid ran against USA-PATRIOT, challenge so called "domestic wiretapping" (which was never wiretapping anyway, but that's another thread), etc. Do "a few" outlying Dems support it, sure, but I wouldn't rush to use the term "many."
If you say so, I'm sure they won't get your guns. I applaud you on your passion and committment. However, lets not get ourselves in the position of allowing that 5th leftist vote on the SCOTUS. I believe that the left have become much more radicalized since the Ford/Carter election, and you're right if your saying that there wasn't a dime's worth of difference between Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter when it came to appointing Justices to the Courts. Jimmy Carter didn't get a pick on the SCOTUS, but Ford did and it could be said that Carter could have just as well appointed the judicially stillborn Justice Stevens.
Ok - so what?
You might not vote?
You would vote for the other candidate?
You would stay home?
All three are pretty childish.
I cannot stand absolute statements - they are rooted in illogical thought.
We had a popular Conservative as POTUSA.
Next was a one term moderate.
Next was a two term traitor, who some people think was conservative.
Next was a two term moderate that squeaked by because the democrats nominees were very bad.
Now some people want a far left winger as the Republican nominee that most real democrats can beat because they can run to the right of any of them.
The NY MSM are having a field day pimping for these two left wingers, Hillary and Rudy.
Their greatest hope is that their favorite male? and female? are the only choice for POTUS.
Rudy's closest politically to Joe Lieberman - a liberal pro-WOT hawk.
I love it - all alone in front of 4 screens - and your post made me laugh out loud.
I'm stealing this one.
Shoot - right now I love Joe.....
Giuliani would have been a hero on 9-11 only if he stopped it.
Big Sky Freeper created it today.
Here's a larger version
"Giuliani would have been a hero on 9-11 only if he stopped it"
Does that go for all the FDNY, and the NYPD.
I hope you have more intelligence than that.
Weird comment.
You are on the wrong board, then.
A conservative who isn't a leader first won't do us much good.
Wanting a conservative "second" is better than wanting a liberal at all.
And it's sure beats electing a liberal anyway by being too much of a political puritan.
Damn - I laughed out loud again.
Friggen creative people !! I swear.
I don't see what's illogical about that.
