Thanks, but I've had 'em straight a long time. There are many different kinds of RINOs. There are RINOs in policy and there are RINOs that put selfish personal goals ahead of party and country (or vice-versa). Gibbons has aspects of both qualities, but is heavy on the latter.
Besides being pro-abort, he decided that rather than knock off Reid in 2004 as ostensibly the one candidate that could (which would've kept the Senate for us by 1 seat after the massacre this past November), he put his own selfish interests above doing so, insisting that he wanted the Governorship instead (for which we were bursting at the seems of viable candidates with statewide experience). Add to that his little stunt of trying to install his RINO wife into his House seat.
I'm not going to condemn him, yet, on this current allegation, but if it proves true, he is nothing but another Bill Janklow, another selfish RINO one-man destruction team. But the indications is that his character is already previously in question, and as they say, where there's smoke, there's fire.
BTW, too, two certain former Congressmen from my state had high ACU ratings, one ended up a Governor and morphed into a RINO monster, handing the office to a rodent on a silver platter, and another turned into a selfish party-sabotaging traitor who came very close to costing us the Senate seat in this past election.

Now, in regards to running against Reid, the odds are heavily against anyone beating Reid in this state. He has a great deal of power in this state w/ the powers to be.
As I stated, Ensign refuses to endorse anyone running against him. I can't figure that one out. I'm a big Ensign fan genarally but his deal w/ Reid is baffling.
It was anything but a lock that Gibbons would have been able to give Reid a good fight & frankly Beers et al probably would have lost to Titus b/c of the control she has down in liberal Vegas.
As far as these alegations are concerned, it's all a red herring. Trepp's company was the only one in the world that made the product in question. The military wanted what Trepp had & he was the only one in the world who had it. Gibbons didn't influence anything. Why would he need to influence? Can you say Haliburton? Same crapola, different day.
