The $40,000 study was commissioned by the Clorox Co.If it was commissioned by the Fed it would have been $400,000+

As the IT and facility guy here I can attest to this. Women ALWAYS have food. They have entire convenience stores in their desks. I had the nastiest one of them complain that WE had roaches and I had to point out that SHE had roaches.

Good thing my desk wasn't included in the survey. It would have turned the results around to where men had the dirtiest desks.

I'm female and horrendously disorganized, but the surface of my desk is clean (use those Lysol or Chlorox wipes constantly during cold/flu season).

That reminds me of a scene from the movie "Presumed Innocent".

The girl who uses my shared pc at work is filthy.
Im tired of brushing her hair off the desk and other unidentifiable particles of crap. She also speaks like a drunken crack head and I cant understand what the hell she is saying.
Im glad most women I work with arent like her.

This report borders on junk science.
Our bodies have more bacteria cells in them than human cells. MOST bacteria in the environment are not virulent pathogens. This report gives us no insight into the genus of the bacteria found. Salmonella? or what?
E. coli on the desktops might represent a risk ...
Perhaps the bacteria are spread by vigorous and frequent conversations ...
dunno.

"Men tend to play with their Palm Pilots more," Gerba said. "I think they're playing video games or something."
Something. That's the first time I've heard it called a palm pilot but it seems to fit, in a hairy way, so to speak.

Hands down, women are dirtier than men. Just look into any public men's room or ladies' room.
Women pass themselves off as prissy and clean, but they're slobs.
