Yesterday, Iran became a less safe place for the Muqtada al Sadrs of the world to hide in anonymity. Yesterday, the proud state sponsor of Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, The Qods Force and Allah knows what other bands of brigands, got a dose of its own poison.
A BUS carrying a dozen military officers is stopped in broad daylight by a group of police officers, who ask its civilian driver to disembark. Minutes later, a car bomb explodes nearby, shattering the bus and killing the passengers
It seems that karma ran out of patience with the Thug-Mullah Oligarchy currently pillaging Iran in the name of Islamic Revolution. They seem to be plagued by a group of individuals that Michael Moore would describe as Minute Men. One minute theyre seemingly peaceful civilians, the next, theyve launched their very own homebrew martyrdom operation.
If this had happened in Baghdad, the Iranians would have laughed up their sleeves. It happened in Zahedan, Iran, so they were spitting mad instead. They didnt admire the fanatical devotion to Allah, when it was their city bus getting turned into a one-way fare to paradise.
According to Amir Teheri, this seems like an almost logical step in the progression from despotism to quasi-stone age anarchy in the part of Iran near Zahedan.
Since 2002, 75 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have been killed by assailants in the same region. Last May, in one incident, 23 people, including at least a dozen guardsmen, were killed.
The province has been something of a no-go area for many years, with armed bandits, drug smugglers and dissident tribesmen often clashing with security forces in the rugged mountains. Kidnappings of foreign nationals and the holding of hostages has been a major local industry along with the smuggling of hundreds of thousands of Iranians, mostly young people, who wish to flee to Pakistan or the Persian Gulf states. 15 February 2007
A group called Jund Allah (Army of Allah) seems to have squatted on one of the few domain names for Islamic Terror Groups that Irans central government hasnt already bought the rights to. These jihadis claim to represent a predominantly Sunni minority in Iran called The Baluchi. The Baluchi feel that the regime installed in 1979 has crammed old time Shiite Islam down their throats an inch too far and has resorted to the type tactic that makes Irans Supreme Ayatollah so proud of Sheik Nasrallah.
Amir Taheri recounts some recent history between the Shiites and the Sunni in Iran. These Baluchi firebrands seem to have at least as much gravaman behind their anger as Samual Adams and the original Boys of Boston Harbor.
The mullahs have rewritten all textbooks to reflect only the Khomeinist brand of Shiite Islamic theology, history and rituals. The registrar of birth does not allow newborn babies to be given typically Sunni names.
Under President Muhammad Khatami, a mid-ranking mullah, repression against Sunnis intensified. The only Sunni mosque in Mashad, the Iranian main " holy" city, was burned to the ground. Efforts to rebuild it have been blocked by the government since 2000. The Khatami presidency also witnessed the assassination of dozens of Sunni clerics in mysterious circumstances.
So the Iranians are seeing the rewards of their evil. They decry the actions of terrorists not working for Hezbollah, while giving shelter to the likes of Muqtada al Sadr, whilst the B1 Bombers fly above Baghdad.
I can only hope Muqtada gets out and about, while Jund Allah is doing what good Iranian freedom fighters do so well. I could possibly make him see the results that come from practicing what he preaches. Let him see firsthand that the only differences between a Mujahideen and a murdering fanatic are found in the direction that the assault rifles are aimed and where the bombs go off.
One Minute Men, the next minute Mush!
I think the Hebrew version of karma is meged kened meged (measure for measure).
*sorry**sorry**sorry**sorry**sorry**sorry**sorry**sorry*
Funny how all these bad things are happening in Iran shortly after the Bush administration blames them for supporting the terrorists in Iraq.
At some point, I wonder if a deal will be struck. The U.S. will say to Iran "bad things in Iran that we have nothing to do with will stop happening if bad things in Iraq that you have nothing to do with stop happening."
Nicely put...
