It was either yesterday or the day before - Cavuto had a woman who was attempting to explain that the hot weather and the cold weather is both due to global warming. After that, I did not listen to much, except Neil said the same thing you just did - with millions of years, how can you accurately predict an event with only 150 years worth of data.
Actually, I don't think it has even risen to the level of a theory yet, if you consider the scientific method.
It is more akin to a hypothesis.
Did you hear the caller on Rush (Wednesday, I think) talking about how warming in the arctic lead to more ice in the antarctic, as the broken off ice floes naturally floated South?
That's about as smart as my (joking) comments to the kids upon our return to NC from Boston that it would take very little gas, since the whole trip would be down hill.

Exactly, except that the postmodern socialists have changed the name of their meta-narrative to climate change because the only sure thing about the Earth's climate is that it changes. The biggest problem with the climate change issue is that you can't use rational thinking or logic when talking to postmodernists because they are constantly redefining truth as fits their agenda and postmodernists feel, they don't think. Climate change is actually feminized science.
I remember reading a column by George Will some years ago - sometimes he writes good columns (I especially loved the one in which he praised the military stating that you can't pay those pilots who land on and take off from carriers enough money - they do it because they love it) - disecting Gore's book. He stated that everything Gore discussed in his book, a person would have to have expert knowledge in something like 12 different fields of science - physics, mechanical science, biology, etc. And since Gore flunked out of divinity school, it was doubtful Gore knew what he was talking about. Then there is the time when some news agency put side-by-side excerpts from the Unibombers manifesto next to excerpts of Gore's Earth In The Balance, and people couldn't tell the difference or who wrote what.
I think it is less than a hypothesis. It is "Outcomes Based Education".
They want the results before the proof.
Absolutely, and it will happen because the left has already taken over academia, and BUSINESS is slowly but surely becoming a willing ally of this socialism-inspired eco-nonsense.

Ummmmm.........I think they are ignoring it. They think that they are always right and to them it does not matter that we have thousands of scientists that have debunked it.
Yep. They took advantage of unseasonably warm temperatures in the east to rouse fear in the citizenry to demand the newly elected DEMOCRAT houses to regulate industry, the citizenry, and to increase grants to academe to study and solve this "horror" of GW.
Now that winter has finally hit with full force, they are predictably mum.
