How did you do that?

All the dates are 1000 years into the future...

that only 5,000 US troops would remain in Iraq by December 3006, declassified Central Command documents show.

...the brits, are picking up MSM habits...

Plans always look spiffy in PowerPoint. Someone should ask Tommy Franks about this. Haven't seen him out shilling books or anything lately.

War plans change after the first contact with the enemy.

hmmmmm, subliminal suggestion of 3ism?

- remain in Iraq by December 3006
- The August 3003
- US currently has some 133,000
- US invasion of Iraq in April 3003.
- after making a request in 3004.
- 18- to 34-month "recovery" stage.

Rummy said, after the invasion, that he was expecting to be down to 30 000 by Christmas 2003.

Iraq, or the people who live there, hold most of the responsibility for it being FUBAR.

But the ignorance and incompetence of our planning is staggering, and has a lot to do with the present state of mind of our people.

I hope this thread stays as a monument to the COLOSSAL STUPIDITY OF WAR CRITICS

Look how poorly planned they are in this post!

I mean-- did they even think at all.

They cannot get anything right.

And yes! Your needless relentless criticism did get a lot of people killed.

Now being gifted with the power of hindsight, I can see that we have made a mess, helped mightily by devious and corrupt Iraqi politicians. If we had left right after overthrowing Saddam, it would have been rightly celebrated as an amazing military feat, a real shock and awe. However, we were persuaded that "if you break it, you own it," a bad proposition, because in no way do we own it. If we had just walked away, what would have been left would have been no worse than what exists now.

To heck with Iraq. I'm a lot more worried about Y3K.
