Every primary battle is bruising. But I don't fear the fight, and neither should anyone who believes in his or her candidate. May the best one win.
This is entirely different. If he won the nomination, which I don't believe he will, Rudy would be the most Liberal Republican nominee BY FAR, at least, since Reagan.
Many conservatives have been disappointed by President Bush. Guilianni would be entirely unacceptable to them. Not only will many Republicans do NOTHING to elect him, they won't vote for him.
I don't believe Guilianni can defeat Hillary with the full Republican Party behind him, let alone, with slightly more than half of it.
