The religion is very secretive and it leaves the outsiders to gain their information from books

That is a definition of a cult, and rightly so.

The Jews thought Christ was leading a cult too. With the hatred of your many many MANY posts against a Christian church like the LDS, I have to wonder, had you lived in that time, if you would have been there to egg on Pontius Pilate?

You are not ridiculed for your beliefs, please have the same respect for others.

Nothing secret about it. As a matter of fact if you give me your address, I'll have two bright young enthusastic young men in white shirts and ties sent to your house. They will answer all your questions and even give you tons of free literature including a Book of Mormon.

What is so secret about that?

That is a definition of a cult, and rightly so.

There are over 5 million Mormons in the US. This is not a cult.

As far as being secretive, do you really believe that the world knows everything about what happens in the back chambers of the Vatican? I am certain there are rituals which would curl your hair. And, I bet some of the more arcane Jewish rituals are secret also.

All of the Mormons I have know personally have been patriotic Americans in every sense of both words.

This is more than I can say about any other religion on this planet.
