A federal grand jury on Wednesday returned a revised indictment in a Hollywood wiretapping scandal that chronicles further conversations between private investigator Anthony Pellicano and an attorney representing billionaire Kirk Kerkorian.

The new indictment comes more than a year after initial charges were filed in the case and six months before trial is expected to begin. Prosecutors promised another indictment was forthcoming but no new defendants and charges were included in the latest version.

It does include detailed discussions between Pellicano, 62, and Terry Christensen, an attorney who represented Kirkorian in a child-support battle with his ex-wife.

Prosecutors accused Christensen of paying Pellicano at least $100,000 to illegally listen in on private conversations between Lisa Bonder Kerkorian and her attorneys to gain a tactical advantage in litigation. At issue was whether Kerkorian had fathered her then 4-year-old daughter.

Over a two-month period in 2002, according to court documents, Pellicano was instructed by Christensen to find out who the child's father was.

"One of the criteria is that no name ever surfaces anywhere" because "the people related to me don't want to do this," Christensen said.

Later, Pellicano tells Christensen that he has heard conversations between Bonder Kerkorian and her lawyers and "if we continue to get this kind of information with their strategy, we're really killing 'em," court documents said.

Kerkorian had a decade-long romantic relationship with Bonder Kerkorian, a former tennis pro, but they were married for only a month in 1999.

Bonder Kerkorian sought $320,000 a month from Kerkorian to support her child but later admitted that she faked a DNA paternity test by using saliva she obtained from Kerkorian's adult daughter.

Christensen, 65, has denied wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of intercepting wire communications.

"They have chosen to add brazenly false references to a conversation on March 18, 2002, that will actually clearly prove Terry's innocence if this matter is ever aired before a jury," Christensen's attorney Terree Bowers said.

Pellicano faces numerous charges and also has pleaded not guilty. Kerkorian, who will turn 90 in June, has not been accused of any wrongdoing in the 111-count indictment.

The conversations between Christensen and Pellicano also are the subject of a federal leak investigation. The New York Times published a story last month that had excerpts from audio recordings between the two men.

The recordings reveal Christensen stopped short of saying he told Kerkorian that Pellicano was using wiretaps to monitor Bonder Kerkorian.

U.S. District Judge Dale Fischer issued a protective order to prevent the release of evidence, but the Times has printed several articles that quote sealed FBI interview reports in the case.

The latest indictment also includes more victims including entertainment attorney John LaViolette and film producer Charles Roven.

Prosecutors contend that Pellicano illegally wiretapped the phones of Hollywood stars such as Sylvester Stallone and bribed police officers to run the names of more than 60 people, including comedians Garry Shandling and Kevin Nealon, through government databases.

Fourteen people have been charged in the case, with seven pleading guilty. One person has been acquitted but has since had new charges filed against her.

According to the indictment, Pellicano had allegedly been wiretapping Russo and running the names of other family members through police databases around the same time. Pellicano also allegedly ran an unauthorized background check on Sender that same year.

With all due respect, I'm not gonna do the Kevin Bacon six degrees of separation from Rudy here. Just about any player in politics can be connected to any other player in four jumps or less.

DFU SONG: That's Amore (that's Hillary's thug, Pellicano)
DFU SONGS | 2-2006 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - THAT'S AMORE

(fairly long intro)

Hillary hired him to shut up Bill's women, Pellicano
Were there threats, oh, you bet...'cause you should never test Pellicano

He would break Sally Perdue's legs even if she begged
Only fools don't believe it
If you had Clinton evidence he would hop your fence
He'd go in and retrieve it

Hillary hired him to shut up Bill's women, Pellicano
When you mess with the Clintons, there is not a rule that applies
If you're posing a threat, you'll be facing him mano a ma-ano
He had worked for the mob and did Hillary's job, Pellicano

Hillary hired him to shut up Bill's women, Pellicano
Because power's her goal, she had sold out her soul, indeed

If you're posing a threat, you'll be facing him mano a ma-ano
He had worked for the mob and did Hillary's job, Pellicano

Pellicano...Pellicano
