Hey Spiff, I would appreciate you ping me when you quote me and call all your jackals in to save you from your crisis.

As for you EV, you should know about depths and lying, you're experienced in those categories. That's your jig.

I'd prefer Allen to Huckabee. Allen's a good leave-us-alone conservative. But Rudy would probably pick Huck over Allen because of Allen's Senate loss. That's a real shame too. And it's interesting how many former Allen '08 guys are now jumping on the Rudy bandwagon. I think they realize that both Allen and Rudy have that same get-it-done leadership temperment.

I'm not for anybody that requires me to buy health insurance at gunpoint.

If I want to be uninsured and Im 20 years old and in good health with no family that should be my business, not his.

The stick: Beginning in 2008, individuals who don't have insurance will be subject to a penalty equal to half the cost of health insurance. Last year, coverage for an individual ran about $4,000 a year, and nearly $11,000 for a family, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. "That's a significant penalty," says John McDonough, executive director of Healthcare for All, a consumer advocacy group. Advocates defend the approach, saying it's similar to requiring drivers to buy auto insurance. But it's still untested, and many Americans may resist being told to pay out for something at least some now choose to go without.

What conversion has Guiliani undergone?

I am praying he will change his mind on abortion, particularly PBA.

Um, let me know if you've heard this before, but PBA is not in the law of the land, as legislated and adjudicated.

NARAL (and others) might be in the process of the adjudication process, but, as the law exists, legislatively (as designed, constitutionally) the procedure is outlawed.

Kind words for you, too. Are there other issues you might care about, as long as we're on the subject? Work for laws and judges (through election of the Exec branch), and the republic's purpose is fulfilled.

Rudy said on Hannity and Colmes he opposes PBA except for life of the mother. Everyone I have talked to in OK agrees that life of the mother should never be left out no matter what.

Where I come from, new converts aren't given leadership. They have many years of proving themselves before they're ready for that. Giuliani's "conversion" is mainly in your heads, though, anyway.

I personally do not think Rudy is converting, I take him at his word.

Your statement about about conversion and leadership makes no sense.

If someone is touched by something, say finding homes for abandoned dogs, why should he or she be exempt from heading the humane society? Especially if he or see has solid bona fides in fund raising, management, human resources, etc?

Keeping someone like that from making a real difference would be plain stupid.

If you run a liberal against a liberal, you'll end up with a liberal.

Rudy will never win the primary because of his second amendment belief. Too many gun owners are one issue voters.

I part company with him on that --- both can be saved --- it's called birth by Cesarean Section.

I do think the ban law will stand, which will make the matter moot.

Support for Giuliani at this point is making the best out of a bad situation.

Giuliani is not perfect by any means but he is the only one who can defeat the beast from Arkansas.

Thats the bottom line, Giuliani will have to come around or he will not win the nomination but he will come around.

He also tirelessly campaigned for GOP POTUS canidates going back to the late 1980's.

What do you mean by 'come around'? You mean, say what he thinks that gullible Republicans want to hear him say and whitewash/cover/spin his liberal history and hope no one brings it up? He's in full campaign mode now. Any changes to his past positions are not just highly suspect or dubious, but clear deception.

Rudy opposed the previous bans and they included exceptions for the life of the mother. Can't you tell when you're being lied to?

If yesterday they were bragging about all the pets they tortured to death, yeah, I think that would put the kibosh on them running the Humane Society, you betcha.

Up until a couple months ago, McCain was also in that same league as Rudy now is proclaimed to be alone in.

What changed?

What changed?

I'll tell you what changed. McCain parted company with the media on his position on the Iraq war, and has taken sides with the President.

Ever since this "change" (there really was none) the media has no use for him on the single biggest issue the media is pimping, and there was no real lovefest between the media or President Bush.

To them, McCain is damaged goods.

That's what's changed.
