It is very amusing to me when so many the non-New York freepers attack Rudy incessantly for being liberal suddenly shut up when confronted about his pursuit of conservative policy while governing the previously termed "ungovernable" city of New York.

Months ago, I challenged the anti-Rudy freepers to demonstrate how he turned New York from a cesspool to a veritable paradise by pursuing liberal policies, and guess what, no takers! The change he accomplished in the city I have lived in all my life is nothing short of miraculous! This is one conservative, pro-life Republican who would be very happy to vote for Rudy for President.

He has proven that he can accomplish miracles by pursuing *conservative* policies and I'd love to hear from freepers who could *credibly* argue otherwise!

Kudos on that post.

And Rudy campaigned relentlessly for Republicans in the '04 and '06 campaigns. He supports President Bush. I can only think of one liberal who supports the president, and that's on the war only, and that's Joe Lieberman.

I was born on Long Island, then lived in New Jersey, and spent a lot of time in NYC. I remember what the city was like under Koch and Dinkins... horrible, dirty, crime ridden, and you got your happy ass out of there before dark.

BIG huge difference after Rudy took over. But if you didn't see the change you just don't know.

Look, I see a thread that I don't agree with, I don't read it, and I sure as hell don't post on it. These Rudy threads are becoming my family's thanksgiving dinner with me on one side and my hippy brother on the other flinging the mashed potatoes at each other.... yeesh.

Lighten up people, or we are gonna implode by the time the election really rolls around

"This is one conservative, pro-life Republican who would be very happy to vote for Rudy for President."

And I am another.

What Rudy-bashers should understand is that, at least in my case, I do not endorse Rudy's stance on many issues, but I understand them - and I do NOT, in these dangerous times, let them act as a deterrent to voting for him.

These are dangerous times, dangerous times. Rudy's leadership is PROVEN in the pressure-cooker bastion of liberalism that is New York City.

It's not lip service - his ACTIONS speak for themselves. Yes, including suing a gun manufacturer, whom he believed was indirectly responsible for the death of cops. Rudy is nothing if not fiercely pro-cop.

I would vote for ANY Republican before I would stay home and let Hillary pollute the White House yet again. You want to oppose Rudy? Oppose him in the primaries. But if he IS the Republican nominee, and you stay home rather than support him, who is the real RINO?

If a registered Republican doesn't vote for the Republican candidate, it's the quintessential definition of Republican in name only.

What could be more RINO-esque than NOT voting for the Republican candidate?
