Japan is not happy with this NK plan and they probably know the mind of N. Koreans much better than US State Dept. know nothings. I would never trust NK. All they want is goodies from the table of the USA.
Listening to John Bolton on tv right now, and he is against this. He believes it`s just a warmed over repeat of the deal Clinton made with NoKo.
Give him Britney. Maybe he'd catch something fatal.
Wow, that's great.
Next, North Koreans can own cell phones without fear of imprisonment.
"I'd gladly suspend my Nuclear Program tomorrow for a hamburger today."
Check it out.
Japan won't contribute to N. Korea's energy supplies until the kidnapping issues have been resolved. So does this make Japan still vulnerable to attacks? How can USA agree to this format while we support Japan defensively? I saw that Bolton was against this. He said that 6 years ago Colin Powell had suggested the same plan, but the USA rejected it. He said why wasn't it approved back then?
how dare them report "tentative" as newsworthy?!
Energy critical power source within N Korea ~ Fuel Oil key to making a deal...
****************EXCERPT****************
In the depths of the North Korean winter, where temperatures regularly plumb -10ºC, government offices and even hospital wards in Pyongyang are so cold that people can see their breath indoors. Lights not to mention medical equipment constantly flicker on and off.
In the industrial areas along the east coast, the vast majority of factories and mines simply lie idle.
The time devoted to energy, rather than nuclear weapons, during the past five days of North Korean denuclearisation talks highlights the critical challenge that power shortages present to Kim Jong-ils regime.
North Korea has suffered extreme energy shortages since the collapse of the Soviet Union, its main benefactor until 1990. Night-time satellite photos show the country as a black hole surrounded by Japan and South Korea ablaze with light.
ROFL!
Bump, thanks Ernest.
"The NK's have set one condition: Kim gets all of our hot chicks."
He did mention Condi and Anna Kournikova....
Anna Kournikova... Anna? Anyone? Bueller?
"Yet another foreign policy failure of the Bush administration. "
You think so? I think it just neutered Hillary's campaign. She has finally come out of the closet and started using her husbands name.
Bills big claim to fame(aside from not inhaling, raping women, getting smoothies from fat chicks, lying, being impeached and disbarre) was his "North Korea" deal. The Democrats cannot say a word about this now without someone exposing Bill.
Meanwhile, nothing really changes. The only way Kim is giving up his nukes is if we take them from him.
This is madness and for our President to stand before the American people today and say that the deal is a good thing is an out and out lie. It is NOT a good thing, you can not trust communist Kim to keep his word at all.
In the meantime, by agreeing to the terms of this new blackmail deal, hundreds of thousands of NK political prisoners continue to be enslaved, tortured and put to death. All because we are unwilling to face facts and deal with this situation once and for all by continuing to empower this mad man.
