True or not, it adds nothing to enhance your point of view. Let me put it another way: If you think that exposing all the nasty things you perceive in Giuliani will convince his supporters to rethink their position, you're wrong. But this is not just directed at just you. On virtually all the Rudy threads, his detractors get on and bad mouth him, missing the opportunity to boost their candidates' good qualities. But I guess they feel better venting their spleens.
Gawd, that's rich.
My point of view is that Rudy will not be able to hold the base. The fact I cited strongly supports such.
Give it up. All your side has left is money, spin and bullsh**. The sad thing is, that just might be enough for Rudy to win the nomination and sink the GOP.
They have a candidate?
A good part of the reason Free Republic exists is to attack liberalism and in the process, trash any liberals who get in the way. Rudy is a liberal. What do you Rudy backers expect? LOL Therefore, its only logical for a conservative FReeper who sees an opening to take advantage of that opportunity and trash Rudy. Liberals are always in the cross-hairs on FR.
In the ten years FR has been around, there has never been a time when a liberal has been promoted by FReepers around this conservative forum, like Rudy has been for the last 5-6 months. Arnold came closet in the recall race of 2003, but that really pales in comparison to the promotion and propaganda being employed to build up Rudy`s conservative credentials. Which right now, are invisible. Btw, using historic facts and the truth of his own record isn't bad mouthing Rudy. Its exposing Rudy for what he really is. A liberal, who happens to have an "R" next to his name. Some FReepers see that "R" standing for Republican, others see it standing for RINO! I'm in the ladder contingent.
Reporting Giuliani's past performance and statements is not back mouthing him. And many here haven't decided yet on a candidate. Actually, how can you support Rudy Giuliani when he STILL hasn't made an official announcement?
