TEHRAN, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- The Iranian defense minister said Sunday the country has developed new missiles with a 1,240-mile range.
"We have new 2,000-kilometer surface-to-surface missiles and new warheads to place on them," Defense Minister Mohammad-Najjar said in remarks cited by the Islamic Republic News Agency, YNet News reported.
"Although we cannot announce all our achievements due to security reasons and preventing misuse of enemies, production of different anti-armor and surface-to-surface missiles with warheads and a range of 2,000 kilometers are just parts of our defense capabilities," Mohammad-Najjar said at a rally celebrating the anniversary of the Islamic revolution in 1979.

I wonder who is going to blink first.
You mean the one that's going to be in a 200 meter crater of nuclear waste? Israel will tolerate only so much.
"The Shahab-4 is projected to include improved guidance components, with a range of 2,000 kilometer with a warhead weighing up to 1,000 kilograms. The Shahab-4 would be capable of hitting targets as far away as Germany and western China." - GlobalSecurity
Germany, humm, perhaps we should encourage them test on with a heading of NorthWest.
The US has 18 miltary installations / air bases in Germany. You want to encourage Iran to fire missiles in that direction? Bravo.
Get a globe and a piece of string. Stretch the string from northern Iran to, oh, say London, or Berlin, or NYC... Where do these nominal flight paths take you? Over or near Polish territory. Great geometry for an intercept shortly after boost phase...
I guess I wasn't clear, I was joking aobut Germany being the uprange target. Of course I wouldn't want to see any US Troops hit.
