Not Depp. Again, I hate his politics, but I admit he's a good actor. But not in Atlas. I see Antonio Banderas as Francisco Danconia, Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Rearden, maybe somebody like Scott Glenn as Galt. But I don't know who I'd cast as Rearden. Somebody with John Goodman's face but not quite as much girth ...

Steve Buscemi as Wesley Mouch ...
John Malcovich as Dagney's worthless brother ...

Other choices for Dagney? Clare Danes, Linda Hamilton ... looking for a brunette who's feminine but with some muscle ...

I don't remember Mrs. Rearden. Been too long since I read the book. But I am a big fan of Reese Witherspoon. She always seems to play strong women with admirable characteristics. Women with a moral compass, who fight for what they want/believe. Oh yeah, and she's charming and beautiful. Does that sound like Mrs. Rearden?

I always imagined Harrison Ford as Rearden. He does a good businessman.

Great choices Buscemi and Malkovitch- but Goodman? How about Clooney? (If he'd do it I mean)
