"Republican?"
RINOld is about as "Republican" as my cat! ROFLMAO
and we can recall this liberal just as easily as we recalled the last liberal.
Here's a quote from Tom in today's SF Chron: "I won't believe another thing this governor says.''

And I keep predicting that that idea will fully ripen in about 24 months from now, just in time for the 2010 February Primary elections in CA!!!
The organizing for the Recall signatures Petition should begin any day now to give it time to qualify for that ballot!!!
Hmmmm.... Sounds like a sales opportunity here. Someone with solid conservative values, who has been here many years, willing to sell his soul for a salary from one or more campaigns?
I might think it might be worth it financially to do so, but nah. I'm me. Not a shill. I'm sure there are others who would like to sell out.
Paul
McClintock can be far more effective doing this rather than being an elected politician. I hope he's serious and that his group can put forth winnable ballot initiatives. I hope he's able to attract enough money to get the job done.
The big flaw in the "Arnold will bring out more voters for the party" argument, is that Arnold brought out more voters all right, LIBERAL voters. They voted for him and then "D" everywhere else.
And he knew it would happen and was happy with that.

Uhhh,, make sure ya run this by 68grunt, we wouldn't want to be seen as going further down the divisive path, yaknow. ;-)
I like McClintock. Wish he had run for senate against DiFi.
To Hold Senate, G.O.P. Bolsters Its Most Liberal
It is from Sept. 9 2006. If you don't have a NY Times account i will post the tidbits
ARWICK, R.I., Sept. 9 With a barrage of television advertisements and the mobilization of its get-out-the-vote machine, the national Republican Party has lined up in Rhode Island to beat back a conservative primary challenge to the most liberal Republican in the Senate, Lincoln Chafee. The outcome on Tuesday could help determine whether Democrats have a shot at taking back the Senate.
n an extraordinary pre-emptive announcement, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has said it will concede Rhode Island to the Democrats should Stephen Laffey, the mayor of Cranston, defeat Mr. Chafee in the primary. Citing poll data, Republican leaders said they saw no way someone as conservative as Mr. Laffey could win in a state as Democratic as this; as it is, they are increasingly worried about Mr. Chafees hopes in a general election.
The result has been the striking sight of the national Republican Party, dominated by conservatives, using resources to save the seat of a Republican who said he voted against Mr. Bush in 2004. He chose instead to write in the name of the first President Bush.
I'm not optimistic about any conservative revival in Kalifornia. The state may be so far over into the dark side that it's unrecoverable.
"Real conservatives" aren't worth a bean in California, where they keep getting their asses handed to them year after year.
Moral: Watch yer step out there in the pasture these days!!!
Good.
So that means he must be on the ballot to be recalled in February 2008 in order to both wait till the time is really ripe and to truncate his governance cheaply and before he completes THIS interminable term!!!
Let me say that your new tagline is clearly a winner.
Ever seen a cow empty it's bladder on a flat rock?

Oh yeah! Makes 'em skip further when ya toss 'em on the pond too. I was eventually gonna write a thesis on it but opted to go in the Marines instead. ;-)
I see our local Pom Poms for aRnie gal was here tossing her tassles around as usual..
I would ask,
How does voting for dems masquerading as a republican fit into that equation or get a freepass ?
and
Why is that any less offensive then what it seems folks here are always getting accused of by TWirP supporters?
Pretty tiresome, it's the same old drivel.. they could use a new script writer.
Wha? Were you gonna turn out to be a "Grunt," too??? Oh wait! Aren't those only in the Army? No... I think I've heard tell of Marine Grunts, too... What's the deal on "Grunts" who do all the grunt work in the military, then sometimes turn into nothing but individuals that do nothing but literally "grunt" loudly and interminably about everything, long after their stint in the military has been over, ages ago? Please advise. Thanks!
