He's announced he's starting up a new committee and website, Citizens for the California Republic, to organize what he says will be 75,000 "citizen politicians" to help push ballot initiatives and legislative action that will also -- bottom line -- push back at some of the and social and fiscal policies of the governor.
Today's interview with the Senator in Jon Fleishman's FlashReport leaves no doubt that McClintock -- never soft spoken on conservative issues -- has ended the truce with Schwarzenegger that held until the last election, when they were supposed to be a "ticket."

Good. He can hopefully revive the conservative movement in California, which has been moribund for years.
Tom is a friend and good man.
Sadly, conservatives have been forced into this by Arnold's comlete disregard for this Constitutional obligation to treat every Californian equally.
Yeah, don't tell me. McClintock in unelectable, and it is not worth supporting him or his efforts. You should have been able to called this to a tee though.
OK, this time with finger check enabled.
Sadly, conservatives have been forced into this by Arnold's complete disregard for his Constitutional obligation to treat every Californian equally.
I did. No great leap, there. You ought not to spam threads.
Just pinging, not spamming.
There is a reason NEVER to vote for Rudy. Ahnold and Rudy are ready to destroy what is left of the conservativism in California, and spread the same destruction to elsewhere in the country. NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
McClintock loyally kept his mouth shut and acted as a team player all through the last election cycle. In return, Arnold gave him the back of his hand, campaigned only for himself, and let all the rest of his team dangle in the wind. As a result, McClintock lost.
Would McClintock have won if Arnold had supported him and appeared with him? Who knows? Arnold is far too selfish to do anything like that.
Someone has to represent the Republican base in California, and sure as hell Arnold isn't doing it.
Go Tom Go .... in Arnold's face!
McClintock Ping List.
Please freepmail me if you want on or off this list
I've not totally given up on Rudy yet. It is possible he will grow in his philosophy and firmly embrace socially conservative positions. Also, Rudy has not shown me that he has Arnold's penchant for big spending liberalism, i.e., health care for all Californians.
OTOH, Arnold is hopelessly socially liberal and too fiscally liberal. That's why I left governor blank on the '06 ballot.
Please add me to the ping list.
Done!
It is a pretty compelling argument:
Q: Why won't you support Rudy?
A: Arnold.
THe REAL question is why have you been supporting Bustamante, Angelides and why are you now supporting Hillary?
The fact that Rudy is trying to get Ahnold's endorsement first is enough for me to say NO WAY to Rudy. He should be working on getting the endorsement of real conservatives, at least first.
The real question is why you spend so much time on a conservative forum pushing the most liberal candidates with an (R) by their name.
But I think we all know that answer.
Your tireless effort to defeat conservatism is recorded in thousands of posts. George Soros appreciates your efforts.
