Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it.

Let's see how he plays in South Carolina and Texas. Giuliani represents a conservatism of the wallet. If the Washington Post wants to praise him.... what does that say?

from the article:

Nevertheless, the Brooklyn-born son of an ex-convict has significant obstacles in his quest to become president.

Gee, I guess his grace period is over. It's one thing to go after him on his views, but now the WaPo has to bring his father into it from day one? Look forward to the italian/ex-con/mafia angle being played to the hilt. By the time the press gets through with him, they'll have the country convinced he's Tony Soprano.

[4 Ovations]

Oh brother. If they had a straw poll at this convention he'd get his clock cleaned. The room was packed with establishment socialites and starry-eyed teens but only a small sampling of actual voting delegates. The conservative activists are busy working behind the scenes and in the halls, on a contested race for vice chairman that will be voted on Sunday. This Giuliani thing is nothing more than a sideshow attraction this weekend.

I was at the speech today. Even though Giuliani was very well received, I could tell it did not translate into support for a presidential bid. As some delegates told me, they were merely there to honor his past work, not necessarily his future ambitions. In fact, at conventions functions prior to the Giuliani speech, there were probably just as many stickers for Mitt Romney or Duncan Hunter as there were for Rudy.

Giuliani, would probably garner more Rat votes which would be bad for the witch. She is well hated more then the media portrays and if Giuliani is the Republican choice and he selects a good running mate it may be a knock out. We have no winners other than Giuliani as I see it so far, but it is very early and he has a lot of explaining to do to get the gun and life vote.

I just know the witches war room is up and running, has never shut down, these are evil people.

Posted on the same time that JimRob has this for a FR poll.

Let's just say that Hillary (or someone equally as vile) gets the Democrat nomination and a pro-life, anti-gay marriage, pro-gun, pro-defense, pro-borders, pro-small government, pro-low taxes, peace through superior firepower patriot gets the Republican nod. Who would you vote for in the general?

When the WaPo is telling Republicans who should be their preferred candidate, conservatives should beware.

After all, look what Arnold did for the California GOP!

California and Republican used to mean something.

Sadly, not anymore. Tom McClintock is about the only "real" Republican left at the state level, and Duncan Hunter/Dana Rohrbacher at the federal level.

These people embraced "Da Govanatah". Nuff said.

So? It's California. Why should that surprise us? He gets the same kind of support in New York. It's nothing more than a movement to get Hillary elected by depriving Republican voters of a conservative choice.

Rudolph W. Giuliani came west to learn whether his brand of Republican politics has a chance among party members significantly more conservative than himself. By the time he had received a fourth standing ovation Saturday at the California Republican Party convention, the answer seemed clear.

The folks who gave us AhnoldCare are conservative?
