Vote for whomever you damn well please...but don't you DARE come back on FreeRepublic in 2009 bemoaning the state of the Country.

Let me ask you what precisely you are doing to forward your choice for Presidential nominee? Hmm...

When the 2008 election happen, you know damn well you will push the lever for the guy with the R next to his name because the person with the D is 1000 times more dangerous. So if you think you can get the person you want nominated, GO AHEAD...get off the computer and start doing something. Ranting on FreeRepublic ain't gonna get it done, Buddy,

Gee. I'm sure the target of your bile will thank you for your kind permission. /s

If the state of the country is bad, it won't be the fault of those who tried with all their might to prevent such bad outcomes. It will be the fault of those who empowered those who actively work to prevent the restoration and preservation of our free republic, like you.

I found his article very informative and this is the information I come to Free Republic for, not to have rude people like you berate people who write thoughtful articles and I might add you seem to berate people because they disagree with you. This is a free country and thank God there are only a few people as rude as you are here in Free Republic or this site wouldn't be the success that it is. By the way, like most conservatives I'll never vote for Guiliani.

That really makes Rudy look good. Nevermind his record just vote R. Now be a good sheeple and run along.

I'll vote "r" but quite frankly don't see the so called front runners having a chance without a base.

Not everyone on FR was a born and raised Republican. Some of us got here when the Democratic party went totally left, with the exception of what I'd call the few remaining moderate Democrats.

Now that a lot of the Republican candidates are further left than than what some Democrats used to be, and many elected Republicans, especially in my home state of Texas, seem to have turned into Democrats despite the R behind their name, it leaves me in quite a quandry as far as casting my vote for a candidate who is in step with issues that are important to me.

NEWSFLASH Hildy,
Did you know that the primaries haven't taken place yet, and there's still time to get a CONSERVATIVE Republican for the president's race?

Hope I helped.

Don't you RINO-lovers COUNT ON THAT.

TitansAFC's take on this is SPOT ON, and we TRUE conservatives are NOT going to just stand by and let FAUX Republicans run our party, and the country, into the ground.

Keep believing that.

I will vote for only local races if I am presented with a choice between a one-lb-bag-of-sh*t, and a two-lb-bag-of-sh*t.

I suspect I am not the only one who will so do.

You know ... I find that entire line of argument really childish. I voted for George Bush twice and when he started talking about amnesty for illegals you better believe I started complaining.

I think Titan is completely entitled to his complaints in 2009 regardless of how the election turns out.

And I believe that going to the trouble of writing an opinion piece to try to influence the Republican base on FreeRepublic IS doing something. It's putting forth an argument which will sway others, and make in more or less difficult for someone to get the nomination. Right now there is a Rudy staffer somewhere trolling FR and realizing that they had better start reacting to all this animosity on the right or they are going to be in trouble.

That is precisely what I'm hoping for. I want his people up late figuring out how they're going to get my vote. And at the same time, I want people like Newt, and Hunter reading FR and thinking to themselves that there might be room to run right of Rudy. I want the whole of political discourse pulled further to the right, and this piece does that very thing (IMHO).

This is the time to talk about what we stand for (if we still stand for anything at all) and not the time to blindly pick the favored horse just because he's the favorite.

And if Rudy thinks he can tell us all to go screw and still win, then it's RUDY who is handing the country to another Clinton, and not people like titan.

Wrong if Rino Rudy is nominated he will lose. He will split the party. Anf it will be the fault of his supporters for putting up someone totally unacceptable to so many. I for one will vote third party rather then vote for this rino.

You could wait for the Primaries first! ;)

If I were American, I wouldn't support Rudy!
