Bring on the death penalty in California for cases like this.
It is an amazing deterrent.

Only a few miles from my home. One of the pingees knew the victim.

This would have never happened if guns were illegal in California. Liberal rant.

I carry everywhere I go because you never know when you'll run into some psycho like that. I could be out getting some stupid thing, inadvertantly stumble onto Mr. A-hole, and get the same result.

But since CCW in CA is as likely as Martians landing, the death penalty will have to do.

The death penalty is cruel and unusual punishment. Anger management would be more appropriate.

I guess they were probably stocking cash registers at that time, but how much cash is really on hand, not locked up tight? I mean, it's not a bank.

I'll take a Scientific Wild Ass Guess and say these are two meth freaks. Home Depots offer of $100,000 for information is going to get these creeps caught. Good for them!

Condolences to Tom Egan's family and friends and the Home Depot associates at his store. I'll pass this on to my HD friends in White Lake, Michigan.

...but how much cash is really on hand... That's what I was thinking. Most of the purchases are on cards or checks. Just small change in the tills. If they were going to steal ~stuff~ they'd need a pretty big truck to get away with enough dollar value to make the risk worthwhile. They'd be there too long.

In fact... the more I think about it, the more stupid it is to try to rob a Home Depot. The place will be thick with big burly contractor guys, and the place is just chock full of weapons everywhere you turn. Hammers, axes, 2x4's...

The only thing more stupid is robbing a gun shop.

There is a death penalty in California. However, because of appeals, the murderer can sit on death row for 10 to 20 years before the sentence is carried out.

Actually, there is no death penalty since lethal injection was ruled cruel and unusual.

Home Depot shooting victim was a Marine Ret.
