Tancredo Meets With Border Agent

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., an ardent critic of illegal immigration who is pondering a run for the White House, spent about an hour Friday with Ignacio Ramos, one of two Border Patrol agents convicted of shooting a suspected drug dealer and trying to cover up the incident.

The case has become a major cause among conservative talk shows and lawmakers in Washington who believe the agents were wrongly convicted and are asking for a Congressional investigation and a pardon from President Bush," Cox News reported on its media blog Friday afternoon.

"Tancredo said in a telephone interview that Ramos showed signs of being severely beaten, with deep bruises along his arm, cuts and bruises on his chest and back, and bruises on his knees. Ramos told the lawmaker that he had been pummeled and kicked by five or six inmates on Saturday while others watched after they saw him on an episode of the television show, America’s Most Wanted, Tancredo said."

I thought this was already posted, then found out Tancredo started zinging two days before meeting with Officer Ramos.

Wish we had more in DC such as Tancredo. The frame-up of the BP agents is such an outrage.

What is zinging? I am glad Tancredo is drawing attention to this.

This is a massive national embarassment and tragedy that reflects directly on the White House and a complicit Congress.

By zinging, I mean the sounding-off that Tancredo started, which I only wish he'd done sooner.

That the illegal got $5M and a car is astounding. I'm just appalled at the amount of ugly stuff going on in this state.

There is still time to make it right, but it has to be very, very soon.

If he fails, we will lose Ramos and Compean.

Tancredo will never get through the primaries and capture the Republican nomination for President, but if he was to run as a third party candidate, I'd vote for him before I'd vote for Clinton, Giuliani, Obama, McCain or any of the other Democrats.

And don't forget the "green card" so he can legally sell illegal drugs here

No provisions for recall. The House can impeach. I already called Mike Villarreal's [he's my rep.] office in San Antonio and talked with his assistant. I flat out told her I want Perry impeached.

Yes, let's remember the green card so the Illegal made legal alien can drive the car we gave him and buy more ILLEGAL drugs to sell ILLEGALLY with the money we gave him.

Did the good senator do anything while he was visiting to make sure these 2 men are safe from the punks? That seems to me like the immediate concern.

Jobs Americans won't do: uphold the constitution after they are sworn into Congress/presidency.

I think the WH relying on their fair-haired boy "Sutton" has been a big, big mistake. Either he didn't pay attention to this issue, or his office purposefully looked the other way.

The WH better check out their guy before they find themselves out of a job!

And just how would he be able to immediately accomplish that in a Federal Prison other than make demands that may or may not be followed.? I really would like to know.

Is that photo "real"?

There is some connection to Mexico with this guy that isn't apparent. I once loved him but have sadly gotten over it.

Good DJ, then hand the country over to Hillary/Obama...Your children will thank you...but at least your fragile conscience will be clear. GROW UP.
