If they are given immunity for their testimony, but then lie for that testimony resulting in wrongful convictions, do they still have immunity? Sounds like they just committed several new crimes.

This is like Waco, Ruby Ridge, Arkancide, Hill's miraculous trade deal, Clinton laughing at Ron Brown's funeral...They do as they please and the public's too busy trying to keep a roof over their heads to pay attention. Abuse of power beyond belief. US sovereignty tossed overboard, illegal prosecution of border agents doing their job. Cozy arrangement with drug dealer, immunity, and now he's suing for 5 million. Mexico integrates with the US. Oh, well, globalization has a few potholes. Nothing to see here. Go back to sleep.

Vasquez also said that when he opened the door to the van, he couldn't smell the nearly 800 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle, contradicting statements made by other agents on the scene, according to trial testimony.

Geez, I can't imagine why the smugglerz would bother to make a shipment of pot to be brought into the US in this manner smellproof, since any notice taken of the movement would surely result in inspection.....as opposed to concealing it within an otherwise legal importation of goods or whatever. That little van must have stunk to high heaven with weed; why is he lying about THAT?

Wait, though! Weren't the two border patrol agents criminals, who their own peers testified against - with Bush being a hero for leaving them in prison? That's what some of the mindless bots would have us think.

While the border patrol and the feds fight and litigate amongst each other in the name of political correctness, the illegals keep pouring in........

According to DHS Office of Inspector General investigation memos written less than a month after the shooting, all nine of the agents at the shooting scene, including two supervisors, knew about the shooting and failed to report it.

However, a Homeland Security Report of Incident written in November and released earlier this week contends the nine agents were unaware of the shooting and were not responsible for reporting it.
More kindling for the Third American Civil War.

They sold out fellow officers for 20 pieces of silver and what turns out to be perjured testimony. And our government has demonstrated its true values by delivering a report to Congress that protects the identity of the drug smuggler. In a just world, he should be the one in jail. Instead, two brave men protecting our country from the likes of him where put there by our government. The message it sent is if you enforce our laws, you too will go to prison. What kind of message is that to send?

I believe this is Pres. Bush's warning to anyone trying to interfer with the illegal traffic. Don't mess with the illegals.

I also believe Bush is attempting to purge the Republican Party of anyone who is against illegal immigration.

DHS has admitted it lied about the agents saying they wanted to kill Mexicans.

Justice gave immunity to agents who changed their stories.

This is now more about one agency misbahving.

This now means there was collusion across agencies to frame these two agents. Which also means this scandal goes waay up into those agencies.
