Exactly. Even when his supporters play the race card, it ends up sliming Obama. Of course, it's partly due to the fact that he does nothing to distance himself from their antics.
"But if you look like Dumbo do people treat you like an elephant?"
Certainly not in the case of Michael Moore.
Treated like one...what??? Forever the downtrodden konundrum huh?? Please sweep us up in your woe is me campaign!!!!
If he wants to be seen for the content of his character rather then the color of his skin he should change parties. I would guess that is not what he wants.
Well Mr. Obama, maybe if you just called yourself an American instead of an African-American, people wouldn't treat you differently. Which is it? Do you want to be known as African? Or do you want to be known as an American? Take your pick moron. You're obviously not as bright as Joe Biden claims you are.
It will not be the first time that card is played unfortunately.
This is just so much crap.
He's not presidential material just because he's black. Good grief. Get me a crying towel.
<<<...Obama's wife also addresses the race issue when asked by Kroft whether she fears for her husband's life as a black candidate. "I don't lose sleep over it because the realities are that... as a black man... Barack can get shot going to the gas station," says Michelle Obama. "You can't make decisions based on fear and the possibility of what might happen." ...
And you know what I'm talking about.
Exactly! Mainly it's his politics I don't like. I haven't even really considered his moslem background because his politics are first and foremost the stopper. If he were to be the nominee after the primaries, I'd definitely start paying a lot more attention to his home life with his stepfather, the school he attended overseas and why his religion was listed as muslim there.
He's Basicaly saying that he identifies with being black because he experienced mild cliqueishness as a youth meaning he probably felt more acceped by blacks than he did by whites.
Im not sure that Id call it racism. I felt more at ease with certain groups as a kid for a variety of reasons.
Lets face it, 3 piece suit types arent as at ease with blue collar types as they are with other 3 piece suit types.
This occurs in race as well but not necessarily DUE to race but rather with familiarity/nonfamiliarity.
I will see groups of various people of various races or styles congregate together. They dont exclude others but others often find them less approachable due to an unfamiliarity with the clique. Are they racist? NO
So Barak felt more comfortable identifying with the black community. Big deal
I saw one of the Dem twits on Fox recently and she said the Dems are the party of diversity because "we are running a black man and a woman for President (or whatever words she chose to use)." Wow! Yup, let's not talk of issues for the Presidency. And since when is diversity limited to blacks and women? Seems like an oxymoron in that statement.
Seems as though Obama has always had an identity crisis:
"Obama wrote about his search for a racial identity and said he often hung out with other black students at Occidental but also "the foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets
When we ground out our cigarettes in the hallway carpet or set our stereos so loud that the walls began to shake, we were resisting bourgeois society's stifling constraints."
"realities are that as a black man... Barack can get shot going to the gas station"
Yes, and the person with their finger on the trigger is most likely a black man. 12% of the population and 50% of rhe crimes...
He should talk to John Ford Jr. from Tennessee.
Or a "denier..."
So in other words, he acted like an a-hole. My philosophy is, if you're going to act like an a-hole...you'll be treated like an a-hole. Plain and simple.
Rich black men get shot in limos outside nightclubs, not bandwagons outside gas stations.
Bingo! This isnt about racism. Its about Finding Obama
