Why don't YOU post the appropriate laws of Florida. You are the one who was accusing WND of getting it wrong. You do the research.

You're the one that's obviously passionate about this issue. I personally don't care enough to go be your research assistant, and I'll go along with what the police report says, until it's proven otherwise.

A sidewalk going in front of a school along the road would have to be classified as a public sidewalk. How else are pedestrians supposed to walk around the school? Do pedestrians really have to cross the street and use the sidewalk on the other side of the road just so they can stay off of school property?

Yes, clearly there are many pedestrians walking along here:

Besides, their truck was parked illegally, on school property. They were asked to leave, given plenty chance to leave, and refused to leave. I find it hard to muster any sympathy for them.

I live in Key Largo. I know the school. The sidewalk IS a public bikepath!!! It is not on school grounds. The truck was also parked off of school grounds on the west side of the sidewalk where loads of parents park to pick up kids!! Also the satellite image you posted that you point to as pedestrians are trees!!! The highway is divided North and Southbound by trees. The sidewalk in question goes for miles down the overseas highway (US1) in front of businesses and also crosses streets. It is used by bikers,homeless,hitchhikers and rollerbladers. The county maintains it.
