Has anyone did the numbers to see how much this would cost? Compared to other speakers, how much would this cost taxpayers? How many times has Pelosi traveled home in past years?
To think these are democrats they are expensive. This money could be used to fund this war.
From what I understand, this plane costs about $20,000 per flight hour to operate. Round trip between DC and SF would be about 8-10 flight hours, assuming no delays either way. She's announced that the plane must be available for her to make this run twice a week (probably a very low ball figure - expect her to have it in almost constant use, ferrying family and friends and campaign donors all over the earth on various junkets). But assuming two DC-SF round trip runs a week, we're talking $320,000 - $400,000 per week. That comes out to $16.6 to $20.8 million per year.
