As far as I know, they were married at sea by a Baptist minister. Whether or not a license would have been required and/or if there is a marriage certificate, no one seems to know. And it may also be that the minister holds a Captain's license.

It seems like it might be a tricky situation.....almost like the Attorney was being VERY clever.
