I have seen most, if not all, of her movies. IMHO, Marilyn was a fat broad with big boobs and virtually no talent. Her role in "River of No Return" was jerky and her manner of speaking was neither real nor relaxed.

I am not saying the movies she made were bad, "Some Like It Hot" was fantastic. Less because of her than Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.

Her Oscar nominations were due mainly to those features closest to the camera lens.

I've never been a MM fan either. The "Happy Birthday Mr. President" moment wasn't sexy, it was a forced, stilted, caricature of sexiness.

You obviously don't know the meaning of the word talent. I also doubt if you have seen more than 2 or 3 of her films.

I really don't see what the fuss about Marilyn Monroe was about either - she's a pudgy lady and the face isn't that great. But obviously ideals of womanly beauty have changed in the last 50 yrs - we tend to favor thinner, more fit women even as we as a nation get fatter.

Same seems to hold true for men, btw - watching TVLand, I was surprised by how heavy the guy who played Superman on the TV show was - he looks like a normal man, not a perpetual teenager, and therefore would never be cast as Superman today.

She wasn't fat by my definition, and I don't even think her boobs were that big - maybe C cups, nice but not what I'd call "big." As for her talent or lack thereof, I thought she was pretty good in those comic, dumb blonde roles, but I have never seen "misfits" were she was cast - I think - in a very different kind of role.
