As Manhattan enjoyed an unseasonable 72-degree winter day on January 6, news media quickly claimed that the weather inspired fears of “the end of the world.” But as the thermometer dipped into extreme cold, the rhetoric of human-caused global warming has not cooled off.
“Do people here [South Beach, Fla.] know that very likely in the next – well several decades – all of this is going to be underwater?” asked CBS “Early Show” anchor Harry Smith during an interview with author Carl Hiaasen. Smith injected the topic of global warming into his interview about the appeal of Miami on February 1.
ABC flashed an onscreen graphic that read “Will Billions Die from Global Warming?”
When the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a summary of its upcoming report on February 2, the media supplied catastrophic predictions. But they left out two key elements: experts who questioned the report and U.N. predictions that were actually downgraded from earlier warnings.
NBC anchor Brian Williams treated the report as above reproach when he said on “Nightly News,” “Climate change is increasingly a political issue. But today’s report is all about science.”
But as the Business & Media Institute reported in the study Fire and Ice, the media have frequently hyped the threat of climate catastrophe – alternating global cooling and global warming – throughout the past 100 years. Each of those reports was “all about science,” too.

This is not even the report from the scientists. This is a "summary" of the YET TO BE WRITTEN report issued by the politicians. THE report is due around May. The news is that the scientific report is not even close to the "alarmist" feel of the recent summary. I am sure the scientific report will not get the same coverage as the one in question.
Heavens forbid they write this fiction in the middle of a VERY cold winter...

I have reached the conclusion that Dobbs is an even bigger ego maniac than O'Rilley, and I didn't think that was possible.
Since the media is in a tizzy over GW, then the general populace should remain alert. Remember albore needs all the help he can get to obtain that Nobel and thereby legitimize himself.
There was a guy on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory (I Know I Know) who just completely blew the global warming crowd out of the water. He was GREAT and talked about how most meteorologists actually don't buy it, but are fearful. He talked about how the executive summary was written BEFORE the scientists did their report.....insane.
If anyone can hear this guy...I've forgotten his name...he is a good guy to use to thwart the GW crowd.
Basically its all about changes in the SUN and that is it.

Yeah, Dobbs definitely jumped the shark awhile back. He couldn't understand how tax breaks can stimulate the economy. He did a count down on indictments for Enron but never did the same for the largest corporate scandal under Clinton. He hates how this administration hasn't done enough about illegal immigration but cheers on the Democrats. One egotistical poser.
Well, since the lefty loony enviro whackos want to depopulate the Earth it would seem that they'd support and encourage Global Warming.

He is Timothy Ball, the same climatologist that may loose his job for speaking out.
I referenced him last week here on FR, but the link seems to no longer work. His article was on www.canadafreepress.com
Thanks for the info. I often hear a little Coast to Coast as I am falling asleep, and do not catch the intros or remember the names.
