While Airbus A320s have the range to fly from New York or Washington to the West Coast, on really bad days, JetBlue's Airbus 320s sometimes need to make fuel stops on their way to the west coast. Nancy Pelosi would be in the same position as someone flying commercial.
Cry me a river.

I am factoring in descend from cruise, land, taxi, fuel, taxi, takeoff, climb to cruise altitude. Add in some weather and traffic and a two hour add on to travel is acceptable.
Beats showing up two hours before a flight, stripping bear-butt naked and being sent through a series of scanners and what not, only to find out you have been bumped or your flight has been canceled. These bureaucrats make up all sorts of laws for us peons, but they think they should live differently? Pisses me off!

Amtrak is much too glamorous for that thing.....I am thinking of that broken down bus in the movie: Major League. There is a word that we have for the likes of her in the part of the big apple that I reside in, but I will hold My tongue and be a lady about it/Holding My Tongue-seoul62.........

She's third in line for the presidency and wants security in case both the president and VP die. Not my words; they're hers.

For an Air Force jet, refueling at an Air Force base, things would proceed much faster.

IF she flys on an Air Force plane wouldn't this plane stop at an Air Force base to refuel? What is more secure than an Air Force base?I would hope we could keep Pelosi and her gaggle of relatives off military installations if possible. You can be sure that Pelosi and company would demand VIP treatment which would tie up dozens of military personnel and create nothing but problems for the base commander. Each visit would require catered snacks, wine, and probably staff cars to take Ms. Pelosi to see the local sights while her aircraft was refueled. I don't want to wish that on any base commander.

If she doesn't like the job perks she can quit.

Then the obvious question is: What about the security of the fourth in line?

JetBlue's Airbus 320s sometimes need to make fuel stops on their way to the west coast.I flew a 737 out of Albequerque to Dallas-Fort Worth. Had to stop in Norman, OK for fuel when a line of thundershowers 'popped up' over Dallas. Found out that the commercial airlines are/were not filling the tanks on short-haul flights. There was no reserve in case of weather or air traffic and a diversion becomes necessary.
Thundershowers over Dallas in late-August -- Whoda thunkit?

Why does she need a plane?
I thought witches used something else.

I've disputed her need. I don't think that she, Hasert, or any other memeber of Congress needs to fly military under most circumstances. When you're right behind the VP in the line of succession, I think it's a different case.
