This outfit likely won't burn 11 T of fuel in a year, 11 tons of fuel would be a bout 3100 gal. of fuel. The waste can not exceed the base product.

Well, considering I get 20 mpg in my 1989 Crown Vic, IN TOWN, I think that 15 MPG is somewhat poor for a vehicle that has 17+ years of technological advances on my poor old "beater". (I refer to her as "the lux-o-barge").

The 2005 Chevy Tahoe 1500 4WD gets 15 miles per gallon in city driving.

That's better than both my Dodge 1500's (10mpg)

The plane she wants would cost about $20,000.00 an hour to operate. She wants it to make FREQUENT trips back and forth to California carrying family, friends, media, campaign contributors, lobbyists, and other adoring subjects.

According to Larry Elder, there are four of these planes in the entire US fleet, to be used by, among others, the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Nancy wants to appropriate one quarter of this fleet to be used at her whim as her very own taxpayer funded private jet, with no restrictions whatsoever placed on how she uses it and who she ferries in it. And of course, the entire $20,000/hour operating tab is to be footed by us - God forbid she should dig into her $65 million fortune to pay coach fares for her fawning sycophants that are granted the honor of their lifetimes by being allowed to fly in her Royal Presence.

Someone in the Pentagon busted her hard on this, and now she's forced to spin like mad, spewing all this bullshit about how she wanted to fly commercial but the security people just wouldn't let her, and how this is all sexism and piling on a poor working mother, and how Bush is responsible for all this "misinformation" because he doesn't want to talk about global warming.

And all the while she's doing this act, she's got Murtha threatening the Pentagon with funding cuts unless they give in to her demands. We've got troops in the Middle East that she's preparing to hang out to dry, facing terrorists that want to kill them and then kill everyone of us, and all she can think to do is use that fat treasonous f*** Murtha to cut off their funding because the Pentagon has the unmitigated gall to not drop EVERYTHING and say, "Yes Your Majesty, we'll give you your plane right away!"!!!!!

And of course, the media knows all of this, and is, as usual, faithfully executing their duties by repeating the Pelosi party line and refusing to even acknowledge the blackmailing of the Defense Department that's so blatant and ham-handed that even the Mafia would be ashamed. But chances are they'll be allowed to get away with it once again, because the media will keep feeding the masses their daily fix of Anna Nicole Smith and gay NBA players and Britney's p***y pictures.

Didn't Mrs. Bill Clinton's SUV driver knock over an airport security guard when he failed to stop at a check point a few years back?

Wow, a 31 foot, v10 RV gets slightly better mileage than that."""

For sure. My 35' 22,000 LB Itasca with an 8.1l (500 CuIn) engine towing a Nissan Maxima at 62MPH gets an average of 7.5MPG.

I missed the 4WD part there. The weight is in the same ballpark, mind you.

For a near identical vehicle, I also have an old (1977) IH Scout, 304cid v-8, 2bbl, that is at least as heavy as that Tahoe. The Scout has the aerodynamics of two bricks stacked, and it gets/got up to 17.3 on the highway.

As I said earlier, there's NO excuse for that Tahoe to be such a fuel hog, especially with all the technological advances in fuel delivery and engine controls, plus the aerodynamic advantages of 27 years of refinement.

Then again, it IS a Chebby......
