A congressional source who read the letter signed by Assistant Secretary of Defense Robert Wilkie said it essentially limits her to the commuter plane used by former Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, which requires refueling to travel from Washington to Mrs. Pelosi's San Francisco district. A second source, in the Bush administration, confirmed the contents of the letter.

Fingers crossed the Pentagon, (and President Bush), don't cave on this. I remember how generous Bush has been with military aircraft, he had the Pentagon retrieve Bill Clinton from an Australian golf trip on 9-ll.

This hypocritical bitch would use more fuel in a single round trip then the average citizen will use in a year.

Don't worry, she's making a list and checking it twice, whoever made this decision.
And when Hellary becomes POTUS, it will be payback time in the Pentagon.

I have a barf bag handy at all times so that when she CONTINUOUSLY reminds us that "third in line for the Presidency" is her response in EVERY appearance she makes on this issue, and it's a "security" thing...I'm prepared. What an egotistical piece of crap.
The most beneficial method of transportation for her to Kalifornia, in terms of benefit and protection to the American people, would be to have her travel on foot without escort......
To: YaYa123
There is no genuine need for her to have a large jet capable of non stop travel to the Bay area dedicated to her use.
In fact, in event of emergency she needs to stay in Washington DC should she be needed (selfish b****)

This wouldn't have happened if McCain hadn't pushed for abolishing the 1,500 aviation barrier to Reagan National. That would have forced Pelosi's plane to refuel anyway.

PeeLousy is a multimillionaireass, if she really wants a nice jet, she should just buy one.
Maybe Travolta could fly her around on Scientology 1!

It wont take that long.....
Fox just reported that, murtha stated, ( paraphrase)' it was a mistake for the pentagon to make this decision before the appropriations bill passed"
So murtha, that Great American Hero, has decided to extort an aircraft at the expense of national defense and the lives of the troops.
If I said what I really feel at this moment I'd generate a knock at the door......these people just have no core.

A Gulfstream III will get her coast-to-coast, no problem. Why is the Pentagon talking about using a larger plane?

Awwww... Poor baby.
To: bondjamesbond
According to FNC this morning, the plane Pelosi wants is the next one up that's available, seats 42, has a crew of 16, a stateroom (gag me), an entertainment center (whatever the heck
that is), and a communications center.
Delusions of grandeur much, Madame Speaker?!
Heck, she should just buy a Gulfstream. She can bloody well afford it.

Correction, that was FNC last night, Hannity and Commie. Hannity also said that a round trip on the plane Pelsoi wants would run about $300,000 a pop.
