USA wins on two spectacular second half goals. That now makes us 8-2-1 against Mexico since 2000.

Great!! Thanks for the update...I had to turn it off when some of the Mexico fans threw cups/trash at the US player taking a corner kick.

I almost went to the match.
But, its too damn far from where real people live in Phoenix, and its wednesday.
But I watched it (until Lost came on) and we did a great job. Mexico brought their A team, we brought half our A team.
Plus, Pablo Mastroeni was playing to his hometown for the first time ever, good stuff.

That's certainly a lot of the fun, is seeing all the sad Mexicans, even here in Dallas I see them wearing their "El Tri" jerseys all over the place.

I was at a Mexican restaurant in Cerritos watching this game. The Staff was watching a TV tuned to some spanish-speaking station; I was watching ESPN. The Spanish station was on a 3 second delay.
GOOOOOAALLLL! then.....OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

The game was in Glendale, but the crowd was predominantly Mexican. Saw a U.S.A. vs. Mexico showdown at the L.A. Coliseum on TV in '98 and it was quite a scene -- the American national anthem was roundly booed, Mexican flags were being waved proudly all over the joint, and the U.S. team and their few fans in attendence were being pelted with "urine bombs." Real nice. The third world right here at "home."

We should never play Mexico anywhere in the Sun Belt, it should be in places like Columbus or Portland, we played Mexico there, and the crowds were predominantly pro-USA there.
