(CNSNews.com) - Weeks after accusing President Bush of "shameful" behavior over the imprisonment of two Border Patrol agents who shot an unarmed suspected drug smuggler along the U.S.-Mexico border, a federal lawmaker turned up the heat further Wednesday, suggesting the president should be impeached if either of the two men is murdered in prison.

I understand there are major problems down on the border and I readily admit there are big questions that need to be answered in this case

But I won't know the complete facts till I see the transcripts and how the trial went

For all I know these agents could have had lousy lawyers and didn't do a good job presenting their defense to the jury

I really don't know

But to dump this all on Bush and call for his impeachment is over the line

And some of the other comments I've been reading are over the edge into kooksville

That kind of talk does not help these agents

There have been over 70 Congressman and well over 300,00 people petitioning for the release of these two men. Editorials calling for their release are legion..STILL, Bush ignores them all.

Two men just doing their job, are being condemned to hell because they wounded a drug dealer.

Meanwhile, the drug dealer sues the taxpayers of this country for 5 million dollars for his "pain and suffering".

Bush should know the GOP is a mess over this and just pardon them. How many petitions did he receive on behalf of the people he recently pardoned? A handful?

I am left with no recourse but to believe that he just doesn't give a damn.

I wish that I could believe that something as benign as apathy is behind this mess.

And over the years, people doing the heavy lifting, like Sabertooth who someone just mentioned, were drummed out of here for ridiculous reasons. Meanwhile, people like you have the nerve to throw accusations of kookery around while we've seen the aftermath of Able Danger and Weldon's removal from Congress with our own eyes- nobody, Clintons, Bushes, nobody wanted that aired out.

Sorry, I'll side with the 'kooks' on this one. Otherwise, what explanation do you have for Bush's sycophantic fawning over Mexican interests? As much as I want to find one, it isn't there.

"Good grief. the president did not prosecute these men. Somebody oughta take a dose of STFU for a bit."

Call Dana Rohrbacker and tell him that. I plan to. This is over-the-top.

Nope, no retread.

In fact I found FR while doing research on the whole Mena thing.

I did find that 'Bbttoms' did know enough to sound like he was Seal's BIL, but he was booted long before I ever registered.

And ask yourself: Why would an Arkansas Police Captain, assigned to provide security to the Governor of said state, find the time to do a federal investigation where he has no jurisdiction. He## he barely had time to shuttle the bimbos.

Also why did Clinton buddy Strobe Talbot use two pages of Time magazine to attack the author, Terry Reed? Reed was a nobody till then

And finally, remember after the federal judge who heard the pre-trial motions, ordered a 'Not Guilty Verdict' entered into the record before the trial started?

What he can't do, apparently, is come up with enough money to fund that 700 mile border fence we were promised.

Yep, that apparently would all but bankrupt us. ....fiscally irresponsible in the extreme. But of course tossing $15 billion into the deep pockets of African dictators (ostensibly to fight AIDS) is perfectly affordable, conservative, and most importantly "compassionate."

I wonder how much Hunter knew about what Cunningham was doing and if he ever covered for the crook.)

That's a terrible thing to insinuate with nothing to back it up, Wolfstar.

Nice debate tactic. Get painted into a corner, then throw out the Marxist accusation. silly and predictable.

What's next, he's a Nazi too? lol

Sabertooth has been banned and now runs an anti-FR site.

He did a lot of research; not all of it well done. Reagan's Amnesty WAS indeed a BLANKET AMNESTY. I was not only alive, but a sentient adult, who had worked to get Reagan elected, gone to his inaugurals, and was/am a huge supporter of his when that happened. I don't overlook FACTS; unlike some.

Congressman Culberson, along with Congressman Ted Poe, who are both from Houston are two of the finest Conservatives in Washington today. And they are both on this scandal like white on rice.

That's just rude and you wouldn't say that to me in person.

Yes, it was rude. That was the point.

And yes, I would.

And you know this how? (That Hunter is under investigation)

Because you're privy to all sorts of "inside" info? But, of course, you can't be bothered to tell anyone what your sources are, just like you're too busy to post links to the debunking that you and only you are aware of. LOL!

You also sound like a Democrat!

THe political types in the White House seem to have an absolute tin ear. This is something which will quickly solidify their own republicans against them. They don't have a great deal of good will left. I don't understand Gonzales and Bush.

And the conclusions that these two guys wanted to shoot Mexicans.......they are Mexican-Americans for heavens' sake. This was a dope dealer the justice department got into bed with.......and the pretext....I still don't see any percentage in it for the AG or the President. It is just plain wrong to do these men and their families like this.

Have they opened a criminal investigation regarding obstruction of justice, misuse of their offices?

That's a terrible thing to insinuate with nothing to back it up, Wolfstar.

It's not an insinuation. It's a question I have, but one that we'll probably never know the answer to. It's hard for me to believe that, at minimum, Hunter didn't at least have some questions about what Cunningham was doing. They were very close when they were in the House together. They traveled back and forth from DC to California together a lot. Their districts were not far from each other. They often campaigned together. They socialized. Does this mean Hunter knew Cunningham was crooked? Perhaps not. But I'd be surprised if Hunter didn't have his own questions and never followed through on them.

So does your crapping all over American culture, which is another favored tactic of the left.

Who holds the purse strings of government?

Come on, answer me, it's a really simple question, that any 10 year old should be able to answer. :-)

No, he can't fire the prosecutor.

He can pardon the border guards AFTER he reviews the case.

Fifth grade history is really not all that difficult and should be known by all adults. You are an adult, aren't you?

You won't get any argument from me on what Bush should do or should have already done in regard to these two. I have been disgusted for some time as the facts have slowly leaked out.
