(CNSNews.com) - Weeks after accusing President Bush of "shameful" behavior over the imprisonment of two Border Patrol agents who shot an unarmed suspected drug smuggler along the U.S.-Mexico border, a federal lawmaker turned up the heat further Wednesday, suggesting the president should be impeached if either of the two men is murdered in prison.

I don't think its the war that shrunk the Presidents approval ratings at 32%. They started going down south when he became very weak on border issues.

The President has nothing to do with this case and Rohrabacher is sounding like a kook ... he should know better then to make comments like that

Yes it does. But it does not include being up to date on every prosecution of a cop, soldier, BP agent, marshall, FBI agent gone bad in this land.

John Dean was what was MALIGNANT, in The Nixon White House.

And NO president has or is going to poke his nose into every single case, hospital patient's problems, or whatever else you imagine he should do.

Where is the pardon?

There are procedures .. like an appeal on the case from the agents lawyers way before the President can pardon them

I've been trying to figure that out for years now. Mexico has something on him, I'm convinced. They own him.

"But he sure wasn't going to do it off the cuff and run over the prosecutor without good cause."

As he shouldn't. The administration would be doing itself a favor if they would at least send a more assuring message on this, or even open an inquiry into the matter.

Your definition of 'everybody' needs to be modified.

That was a ridiculous statement.

The President may, and probably does, want to get along with Mexico, but he puts America first.

Now that is reasonable statement. I thought what the President said yesterday on the subject was also reasonable.

These guys belong in jail

If you are referring to Johnny Sutton, Debra Kanif, the Dept. of Homeland Security personnel who lied to Congress about Compean and Ramos, and their superiors in the food chain, I agree 100%.

As for Compean and Ramos, that is another story.

The case of the two BP agents will run its course. They will languish in prison, be assualted, maybe die there. The porous borders will remain.

I could walk across the border, in an embarrassing number of areas, and haul in whatever my fancy decides.

Once again, the law abiding will use ports of entry and passports. The elements who wish to steal across, while engaged in illegal enterprise, will cross in an unlaw abiding manner.

"Suitcase" nukes? Biological agents? Chemical agents? Illegal "guest" workers, with criminal backgrounds? Who knows?

Our Federal government sure as Hell doesn't.
