(CNSNews.com) - Weeks after accusing President Bush of "shameful" behavior over the imprisonment of two Border Patrol agents who shot an unarmed suspected drug smuggler along the U.S.-Mexico border, a federal lawmaker turned up the heat further Wednesday, suggesting the president should be impeached if either of the two men is murdered in prison.

People don't seem to understand what Bush is doing.

He is inviting all those who are against illegal immigration to leave the Republican party.

He believes anyone who is against wide open borders is racist and he wants them out of the party. Mel Martinez's appointment is further evidence of this.

Then also blame the last 5 presidents, congresses, state houses, governors, american people for not making it #1 voting priority, the mexicans for sneaking in, the BP agents for not killing the bastard so he couldn't testify, for the idiotic jury for convicting them, the BP agents who testified against them, and Davey Crocket while you are at it.

I have no use for the Blame Bush for everything crowd.

Congressman Culberson Statement on Agents Ramos and Compean

Congressman Culberson issued the following statement regarding Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean following yesterday’s House Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee hearing with Department of Homeland Security Inspector General Richard Skinner.

"Richard Skinner admitted yesterday under oath that his top deputies gave Members of Congress false information painting Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean as rogue cops who were not in fear for their lives and who were 'out to shoot Mexicans'.

"In my opinion, this false information was given to Members of Congress to throw us off the scent and cover-up what appears to be an unjust criminal prosecution of two U.S. law enforcement officers whose job was protecting our country’s borders from criminals and terrorists.

"Today I am calling for the resignation of the Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security and the investigators who lied to us.

"So far it looks to me like Agents Ramos and Compean may not have followed proper procedure following the shooting, which at most should have resulted in their suspension from the force, but not criminal prosecution.

"At a time when Homeland Security has left our borders largely undefended and deployed national guardsman whose ‘standard operating procedure’ is ‘to retreat’ when confronted with armed criminals, the unjust prosecution of Agents Ramos and Compean weakens border security by discouraging all U.S. law enforcement officers from drawing their weapons in self-defense or in the defense of our nation.

"Our highest priority in the War on Terror is to secure our borders. These two agents need to be pardoned and we need to reassure our brave Border Patrol agents and law enforcement officers that we support them and want them to feel free to use their best judgment and whatever force they think is necessary to protect America."

No Bush did not prosecute these as well as other agents. He did, however, put people in charge of Justice and Homeland Security.

Just as in Katrina, when any government agency blows it big time, the administration is at the top. Harry Truman, "The buck stops here." (and I'm as Republican as the come but I'm also a conservative and these things are neither - time to clean out he foxes from the hen houses.

Doesn't mean impeachment but Bush needs to step to the microphone immediately and declare, that anyone, anyone hindering border security/prosecuting Border Agents who are doing their jobs that they are hired for, especially those in Homeland Security who find it necessary to lie in order to stop Border Patrol agents from "patrolling our borders, will be charged with a felony and can expect long prison terms, if found guilty.)

And the kicker is that when it was brought to his attention, he agreed to review it.

You know politicians are losing an argument when they spout off nonsense like this. These guys belong in jail, and that's where they're staying. Enough with the hysteria, already.

I like your idea. I'd be happy with a pardon, assuming as I do, that it may very well be warranted, and a few heads to roll if indeed these reports of malfeasance are true.

Rest assured I have no "fear". I'm pissed, as every American should be. I don't want nor need your "sorry". Anyone with half a brain and eyes to see can't help but be outraged with the selling out of America. Apparently that doesn't include you. Pity.

My theory is that these boarder agents interfered with a drug delivery that was protected from the highest offices in this country. Corruption is rampant in our government, the innocent agents stumbled into a scheme, and inadvertently exposed it - so they had the axe dropped on them. There is no other sense to be made of this event. We have stinking graven crooks, thieves and murderers pervading Washington these days.

LOL. There are some legit concerns here. But one of them should not be the expectation that they should be pardoned without getting ALL the facts straight.

I think Mexico must have something on Bush.

I've believed that for a long time. Something from his reckless teen years that would ruin him if it ever came to light.

But no chance of that, he's bent over backwards to keep the mexican government happy and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

The Lord Jesus Christ walked on water. W can't.

The Cult of Personality is a Leftwing trait. Let's not elevate any politician to a lofty realm where he/she is deemed a saint.

On the issue of border security, W has botched it, royally. His oath is to defend the nation. That includes the borders.

Actually, I think our party should have introduced articles of impeachment when it became apparent he was supporting amnesty for illegal invaders and ignored the border invasion.

By doing so, he has violated his oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution.

It would never happen though. If he WAS impeached, the Dems would have to deal with a real opponent - Cheney and they don't want that. The Democrats and RINOs would kill any impeachment attempt at this point.

I remember it being talked about in the early 1950s! Of course I was a little child, but yes, I have a great memory.

"So you equate some companies with Drug dealers and child porn peddlers now???"

Enron?

A criminal is a criminal. Any American company that knowingly employs illegal aliens is criminal. I don't consider criminal activity to be representative of capitalism or even a free market. Even a free market system is governed by laws.
