we are waiting for the next thing that gets our blood boiling It's coming I'm sure.
The rallies at the Plaza were fun. A coffee shop sent someone out with a large sign offering free coffee to Bush supporters. We had a Bush impersonator stop by to shake our hands. Some middle fingers, got mooned once. Lots of honks and waves of support.
Alfa once dressed up as the devil, in the tradition of the good Doctor Rauol, and freeped Al Gore. We got Al a couple of times and I did a solo freep of him once. Got Clinton one time and got a little local tv coverage. He never saw us but we were there,
Just another Joe has/had a short ping list.

They are refering to a river bottom. The area where the fire is located is maybe a 1/2 mile south of the Missouri River.

Wasn't it a miracle that everyone got out safely?!!They were very lucky. The coverage I was able to listen to was short on details because of everything going on. Did hear one of the workers went outside and saw the fire. Was able to get everyone out.
Looks like we're having a mini KC FReeper reunion on this thread :-)

Fun, huh!
I heard on the radio alittle while ago that there had been another explosion in the area of the plant and something about 435 being closed?

Would this be the proper time for "shelter-in-place?"

Anything can stir up "these folks." Petting your cat the wrong way, pride in Western Civilization, eating jelly doughnuts, you name it...

Have the officials assured us that this isn't terrorist related yet?
I'm sure they have; denying a terrorist link is the first "to do" item on the checklist of any first responder these days.

Yes, I heard that too.....
Later on, I heard that "everyone" heard a hissing sound, saw a fire erupting out of "something" and knew to get out quickly!
It's great to know that the word about FR is spreading in KC!! There are a lot of names I don't recognize...
PS: it's great to see you!

It's kinda hard to type and keep the cat out of the stew at the same time. I'll bet THAT adds a unique flavor!
