In the face of evidence agreed upon by hundreds of climate scientists, George Taylor holds firm. He does not believe human activities are the main cause of global climate change.
Taylor also holds a unique title: State Climatologist. ...
Taylor has held the title of "state climatologist" since 1991 when the legislature created a state climate office at OSU The university created the job title, not the state. ...
His opinions conflict not only with many other scientists, but with the state of Oregon's policies.

The really interesting thing is that this goes against everything the Secular Humanists have been preaching about the nature of science and the rise of the enlightenment. The facade is torn off.
Bush did it.
ML/NJ
And the flippin moonbat asswipes in the dem congress are blaming Bush for "intimidating" the scientists. These people are fascist little pricks.
Welcome to The Dark Ages II.
At this point...I would say that the Oregon state climatologist doesn't even have to have a degree...you could select a tree-hugger and pay them half of what you pay a real scientist. If this is successful...then you can forecast lots of replacements throughout the government in the next 20 years.
I guess that beats stuffing him in the iron maiden or giving him the rack.
It's the atheists' fault? LOL
I'll take falsifiable science any day over the superstitious diktats of ancient desert dwellers.
and you are implying they aren't willing to go there? You will see an advance of physical intimidation next because these people are committed to taking power now. Because they know how very flimsy their support is.
Do the Democrats have the Unions working as thugs to back them up, or are these people going to wake up and recognize that the loony left is an enemy of all Americans.
Aren't they ultimately the same thing, serving the same purpose, though?
So the governor doesn't want to hear any dissent, huh? Scientists don't know what causes global warming. In fact they keep grasping at straws and elevating weirdos like albore to new heights in what's fashionable to hear nowadays. Just a way to give the miserable little fanatic his Nobel.

The Climatological Inquisition has begun. Either you accept our global warming dogma or you are a heretic. No different than Galileo making scientific inquiry into the issue of an earth centered universe and being persecuted for it.
No, they aren't the same. Moses didn't bring down a list of research proposals. Wait, a minute... there's something more here.
Maybe you have a point. Did you know that Catholics use a different set of Commandments than Protestants use? Did you know this was done to avoid the prohibitions of worshipping graven images? If Commandments can be dismissed or interpreted away by the religious, then religion is as falsifiable as science. Hmmm. Have to think this over.
This is not science.
Infact, the great story of science is that of the dissenter overcoming the popular notion of reality based on the acceptance of the standards of science over the politics of any position by the whole scientific community. The intimidation of skepticism is the hallmark of poor science, not great science.
As for the ancient desert dwellers, they don't have much to say on global warming. But, they have alot to say about the structure of reality. However, this is completely off the point when we come to the case where scientists are being attacked for questioning a hypothesis that has been established by consensus rather than the standard method.
I agree about the bad science, disagree about superstition as a description of reality. Let's call it a draw.
