Not only is this woman's careers in the Navy and NASA over, but her life as well is she's convicted. Oh well I guess there's always flipping burgers when she gets out of jail.

What about her family? Their lives will never be the same, either.

I actually only feel sorry for her husband and children.

Another marriage ended.

What made her do it?

Just as Rush predicted I saw CNN interview somebody asking if space-travel could be attributed for the 'abnormal' behavior.

I guess the people at CNN never watch the endless parade of 'normal' folk on Jerry Springer type programs.

This just goes to show, don't mess with a crazy b*tch wearing diapers and wielding a knife and pepper spray.

Forget about the effect on her life or that of her family.

What about the effect on the life of the Astronaut who was the object of her affections?

You can't minimize the effect of all this publicity on his dating possibilities. Women will be swarming him since he's obviously a rocketeer who can get it up and keep it up, even in a vacuum.

I think that this woman's productive life was over before this incident. She's obviously mentally ill. It's very fortunate that her intended victim was so alert and able to take defensive measures. I think that this is the kind of woman that usually ends up with post partum blues and kills her kids.

Her current career may be over but there's always the chance she'll land a lucrative gig as spokeswoman for Depends, Pampers, Huggies etc.

She was wearing a trench coat in Orlando. Axel Foley would have spotted this as a dead give away she was up to no good.

From 1981:

Midn. 1/c W.T. Door: Midn. Nowak, why are you here at Annapolis?

Midn. 4/c Nowak: Sir, I'm going to be an astronaut for NASA!

Midn. 1/c Door: How do you know that?

Midn. 4/c Nowak: Sir, my father said that if I went to the Naval Academy, I would be taking up space!
