Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf arrived in Tehran Monday for talks with his Iranian counterpart on the Palestinians and other issues. Pakistani Information Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani told the state IRNA news agency the leaders would discuss creating a consensus towards the solution of the Palestinian conflict.
Durrani said talks on the multibillion-dollar Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline would also likely figure in the talks, but no mention was made of Iran's international dispute over its nuclear program.
In defiance of the U.N. Security Council, which authorized sanctions against Tehran in December for its uranium enrichment program, Iran has continued the program, but denies it is working toward building a nuclear arsenal.
Pakistan possesses nuclear weapons, as does neighboring India.
