KABUL, Afghanistan, Feb. 6, 2007 The United States transferred 213 Humvees and more than 12,000 light weapons to the Afghan National Army during a ceremony Feb. 2 at a depot in Pol-e-charkhi, Afghanistan.
The transfer marks the beginning of delivery of more than 800 various up-armored vehicles for the ANA, according to Afghan President Hamid Karzai said. |

Geez... You'd think the Humvees and weapons fell out of the sky with a gift card from Allah...
That said, I hope they put these to proper use and we don't end up fighting against our donated equipment.
NCOs otherwise known as the best of the best.
My dad was an NCO so I'm very biased. But it's interesting he specifically praised the NCO's, otherwise known as the best of the best. Or did I mention that?
The model of command that they had courtesy of the Soviets before them did not rely on NCOs,... so he's learning.
And our National Guard Units in the states go with-out.
Short of equipment...at home...
