Apparently he is serious, I called him on it, but apparently he believes if someone actually does their job, then it's someone elses fault that they had to do their job so anything bad that happens when they do their job is to be the entirely the fault of the person causing someone to do their job. Yes it is that circular, I'm done with it, hopeless.

Fire fighter fight fires, that's their job. When an arsonist causes a firefighter to "do their job" and the firefighter dies in that fire, the charge is murder.

When a crossing guard gets hit by a car, do you charge the children with murder because they are the ones who made them do their job?
