Is Giuliani the Republican Peyton Manning?

This question, as you said is garbage. Peyton is a Republican (or at least we deduce that he is since he helps Republican candidates campaign).

As a lifetime NRA member, and I absolutely believe the Second Amendment was meant for individuals, I am finding Rudy more palatable.

As a Catholic and strongly pro-life, I am more concerned, {but GWB and the pubbies controlled the gummint and nothing changed in Roe vs Wade}.

If it comes down to Rudy and the bitch, I will not only vote for Rudy, I will actively donate to and work for, his election.

In the background, I hear the sounds of the purists, getting ready to flame me for supporting Rudy. OK, flame away.

Roe v Wade is judicial. Blaming Republicans is inherently fallacious.

You still don't understand where I am coming from do you.

Geez, you infer that opponents are Klan, and claim that people can be sued for slander for using a candidates own quotes against them.

So yeah, we agree on that, I have absolutely no idea where you are coming from.

I'm not telling anyone who I plan to vote for. Keep 'en guessing, otherwise they'll just try to shove their own opinions down my throat. They can do their thing, I'll do mine.

BTW, I like your gun-slinging puddy cat.

I remember when he said that and I agreed! I liked President Reagan but there were problems then as well. Tough on the Soviet Union but what about the terrorist that attacked the Marine Barracks in Lebanon? A little reminder that not everything was all roses in the 80's: Lebanese Muslims, especially Shiʿites living in the slums of West Beirut and around the airport - where the marines were headquartered - saw the MNF not as a peacekeeping force but as another faction in the Lebanese war. U.S. troops particularly were seen as perpetuating Maronite Catholic rule over Lebanon. Muslim feelings against the American presence were exacerbated when missiles lobbed by the U.S. Sixth Fleet hit innocent by-standers in the Druze-dominated Shuf mountains. On 20 October 1983, a Shiʿite Islamic Jihad member drove a truck loaded with 12,000 pounds of TNT into the lobby where the U.S. contingent was stationed and blew himself up, thereby killing 241 servicemen. In 1984, the Reagan administration withdrew the U.S. contingent from Lebanon.

Reggie Bush wasn't picked #1. Average Mario was. Bush went #2 to the Saints. And after a slow start, by the end of the season he lived up to the hype.

Thanks for the correction. Bush might have gone #1 if the Saints had the #1 pick, but I forgot he was the #2 pick.

In any case he was still over-hyped. He's a splendid athlete and a great football player, but he doesn't exactly "fit" into any one position in the NFL and therefore he's likely to be a disappointment in light of his high selection. He's sort of like a modern-day version of Herschel Walker -- a phenomenal collegiate running back whose style didn't quite fit the NFL game.

He or Vince Young should have gone #1. Mario will be a fine player but he wasn't worthe #1 pick.

I disagree with you about Bush--he isn't a typical NFL RB but it appears the Saints have learned how to use him in a deadly manner. We'll see how his career plays out.

Rule #1 -- Never pick a running back in the top half of the first round. These picks should be used on the types of players who are always needed in the NFL, including offensive tackles, pass-rushing ends, and cornerbacks who are exceptional in man coverage.

Rule #2 -- Never try to build your franchise around a scrambling QB (see Michael Vick for Exhibit A on this one).
