...Biden has been telling people for months that he's going to run ... If I turned on the television and watched Biden formally accepting the nomination at the Democratic National Convention, I might believe it then. ...
I'm not saying Biden shouldn't be president. I have tons of respect for him, and I think he'd do a terrific job if he could get it. I just find it amusing that he thinks there's some chance he could become president. ...
Biden's charming cluelessness was on display in a recent ABC news interview. The famously verbose senator was asked to state in 25 words or less why Democrats should nominate him. His response was 45 words. ...
Biden is a gaffe machine. He ran for president 20 years ago but had to abandon his campaign when it was discovered that he had plagiarized speeches from a British politician,...
In his latest effort, Biden wasted no time subverting his already microscopic chances. On the day of his announcement, he mused about Illinois Sen. Obama: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy." ...To be sure, this is still a pretty cringe-inducing way for white people to talk about African Americans...
And, of course, last summer Biden attempted to endear himself to an Indian American supporter ..., "you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent." Not only was this an offensive line, it didn't even make any sense: ... can't even keep his condescending cliches straight. ...he's the product of a laboratory experiment designed to create the world's worst presidential candidate. If the Obama gaffe doesn't knock him out of the race, something else will. I doubt he makes it to Iowa...

More like exceedingly stupid.
MIKE CASTLE FOR SENATE!!!
Give it up Joe!
"Biden is a gaffe machine."
LOL - Great line!!
"That's a storybook, man."
I really wish we had someone else.
No way! He's a Dem splitter
Joe, don`t listen! Stay in, we need the laughs
Can't help himself...
Well...C'mon...When Biden gets
"on a roll"...He's the equivalent
of being a Coyote Ugly date.
:o)
Can't chew your own arm off fast
enough to get out of the committee
room. (smirk)
It worked for Franken and he's an idiot too.
FreeRepublic needs you in the race.
Castle turns 70 in 2009, he's too old to begin a career in the Senate, not to mention his voting record lurches more and more leftward each year. His ACU rating in 2005 was a horrible 28 (!) and he would instantly become the most liberal Republican in the Senate, nearly on par with Lincoln Chafee. Surely there are other younger Republicans in the state we could recruit who are remotely Conservative (or even Moderate !).
We do, but none of them are feasible. Castle is the best we could hope for, the Northeast being like it is.
"Surely there are other younger Republicans in the state we could recruit who are remotely Conservative (or even Moderate !)."
There are, but none of them would win. Actually, I think that Joe Biden will win the primary and then drop out of the race, leaving the state party to nominate his son, the new AG. And I fear that, absent a Castle candidacy, the GOP will be caught flat-footed with an unviable candidate.
This is a case where we have no good options. (seems to be a great deal of that lately, ugh)
I'm reminded of being at baseball games in years past, and the opposing pitcher would start getting hammered by several hitters in a row. As the manager would leave the dugout to give the pitcher some advice, or possibly the hook, I knew a guy who would always yell, "Leave him in!"
"Leave him in!"
Hey, Biden's getting in the way of the MSM anointed ones!
