In his pugnacious, delusionsl blindness, he's automatically refused to give any credence to Libby's position or recollections, especially as it relates to his job as a top government official and the WH's imperative to correct SlimeyJoe's lies. Yet .. ALL the credence in the world is given to the words and recollections of the reporters in Libby's sphere of press contacts.

He's assuming and attributing the most vile of motives to Scooter and probably the WH, and the most benign motives to the press .. WE KNOW BETTER.

Recall when we discovered that Fitzgerald hadn't bothered to interview Valerie Plame's neighbors concerning their knowledge of her CIA status until the end of his investigation.

This obvious failure to reinterview his key witnesses to see what they were going to say is part of the same pattern.

I'd check into diploma fraud on this guy ~ did he really get a degree, did he really pass the bar, is he really the same Fitzgerald everybody thought he is, has he had a series of mini-strokes, does he use hard narcotics often ~ there are a myriad of questions to ask when this happens.
