Breaking on Fox News. Giuliani Files Statement of Candidacy for President

Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

I'm for Newt also I see not other choice really.
Whatever. I know the truth and I told the truth. You can ignore it if you want too.
In a play on words taken from Ben Franklin "For want of a win a soul was lost." How can we be a nation with the most brilliant minds in the world and wish to settle for the worst choices in our national leadership? The bar keeps getting lower and lower.
I lived in nyc during his entire tenure as mayor. A successful tenure, at that.
He had to govern nyc consistent with nyc values. It was his duty to represent the views and values of the overwhelming majority of nycers.
If he didn't, he wouldn't have been elected to a second term.
Indeed. He needs to understand that the values he needed to do that job make it impossible for him to get my vote. At least, if as you imply, one needs to be a gay-hugging, gun-grabbing, abortion supporting serial adulterer to run NYC.
It probably helps.
"he knows he is going to be asked those questions, and he should be. that's the whole point of primaries and debates. ask away."
But what I liked about Mark Levin calling Hannity was that Mark reminded Sean's milions of listeners that Giuliani is a left-wing candidate.
Rudy should do Levin's show (as long as he's polite and doesn't call him a "big dope"), I have no problem with debate and questions.
"He's going for the RINO Party."
Is Rome burning?
We need a strong conservative president to put out the fire.
Have you had a chance to see Rudy on Hannity yet? He was great. I believe he is well on his way to the White House. I know there's a certain chart going around on here. Its certainly full of inaccurancies that's for sure.
I watched it and I TIVO'd it. Sean asked him all the tough questions and he answered without hesitation. As a candidate, he knows his own mind and I welcome his entry into the GOP primaries, and I'm sure he has his rivals worried, which I think will mean that our candidate debates will ne INTERESTING.
We're not settling for them. We're demanding them. That's the frightening part.
"Rudy should do Levin's show (as long as he's polite and doesn't call him a "big dope"), .."
That would be fun, and Levin would not call Rudy a big dope, I am sure. :)
I watched it too and my impression agrees with yours. I do not agree with some of the mans positions, but he sure sounds like a fighter.
For me, we could put Elmer Fudd in the White House and it would still be better than the Beast or any other democrat traitors.
Oh.... and if your old enough to remember Elmer Fudd, you would know that Elmer was pro-gun.... just a bad shot when 'wabbit hunting'. ;>)
Yea it is indeed.
Giuliani is in this to help Mrs. Clinton...
Hiya Gator! I know of Elmer....lol.
Hillary must be prevented from being CIC.
Good.....now how about Newt?
