I was arguing with my family about Prince not being gay. I think that some were judging him based on his slight physique. I neglected to mention that when I was a teen I thought Prince to be one of the sexiest guys alive. (I kinda' still do...)

The candy companies have inside marketing info that target the groups of people they sell most to. Which in this case happens to be the 10 to 25 year age groups.
An ad like this is very much accepted by that group, in fact, it stands out and gets their attention with a positive impact. I'm sure they saw it as hilarious and witty.
This is where this country is headed unfortunately.

CBS had the commercials posted on their website last night - but the Snickers commercial was no where to be seen as of about 9 CST

Good grief. I hope you never need to give or receive mouth to mouth resuscitation. But if you must receive it I hope it's from a big hairy beast of a man who winks at you when he's done.

I thought two of the Coke commercials were about the best of the night. The one that was a take on a violent video game was great, and another was the animated Coke assembly line which was a feast for the eyes. Your the first person I have seen a compliment from in regards to Coke.

It could have been worse. Just think if it was during a Packers/ Rams game ?

Happy peanuts soar, over chocolate covered mountain tops, and waterfalls, of car-a-mel. Prancing nougat in the meadow sings a song of satisfaction, to the world... {head swaying hypnotically}

I won't be buying Snickers...I don't want to run the risk. So I look at the commercial as a welcomed warning on the part of the company of a risk buying their product carries.

Yes, that was disturbing, and the kids watching with me all cracked up when the guy was hit. So did I.
There was a commercial for a movie, and it was a great commercial, and at the end we all said, we have to see that movie, what was the name?
Then we all stared at each other, and realised we had no idea.
Now, that doesn't seem like a very effective commercial.
As for the snickers commercial, it didn't bother me except that after the commercial, for the rest of the game the 9-year-old girl who came over to watch with my 10-year-old kept turning to him and saying "accidentally kissed", and they would both crack up.

ARGH! and I was JUST going to wander over to the vending machine and get a Snickers. Ick.
(No, I didn't watch the game, much less the ad.)

"It was "portrayed" as accidental but it wasn't accidental for either of the actors who engaged in that kiss."Yeah, it must have been real tough to find two male Hollywood actors who would do that.

doing something "manly" to compensate - and the best thing they can think of is to rip out chest hair!Well I dunno what kind of crowd you hang with, but I've never seen a chick do that... ;)

Check out the post to which I was responding. I guess I needed a sarcasm tag.

I swear, some of the "conservatives" on this site look for any excuse to be as offended as their liberal counterparts. Annoying isn't it? It's been going on a few years now. Betweeen the declining IQ's, and the persecution complexes the place is starting to remind me of a certain liberal website.
