Spectacle in Midwestern

02/05/2007

Scores of people all over the central United States reported seeing flames and fiery explosions in the sky Sunday night.

Calls flooded 911 operators and area police departments, the Missouri Highway Patrol said. Callers described the spectacle in various ways, some saying it looked like a plane crash and others calling it a ball of fire in the sky.

From southeastern Wisconsin to as far as Des Moines, Iowa and St. Louis, people reported seeing balls of fire, possibly meteors, streaking across the sky last night. No major meteor showers were expected in the northern hemisphere on Sunday night, said Jim Lattis...

Nothing to worry about.

That was just Rex Grossman after he got his a$$ kicked by Bears fans.

Saw something like it about 20 years ago. Took about 15 seconds to cross the night sky. Left a bluish, greenish and yellowish trail. Probably something (meteor?) passing in and out of the 'way up there' atomsphere?

Just the last few remnants of Joe Biden's presidential aspirations going down in flames.

The space aliens are clever.

While 90 million Americans are distracted and watching the Super Bowl, they decide to launch an invasion of the United States.

I think I'll pop a video of "Independence Day" into the VCR.

"Lot of coincidences going on these days. "

Indeed. Especially the ones that move erratically and change course. I wonder if we've got a new type of military aircraft that is about to be revealed?
