The new Peoples Temple of global warming isn't satisfied with drinking their koolaide alone. Unbelievers must be forced to drink it too.

Where I'm at (Chi SW burb) it has now 'warmed up' to -5^oF. (over night low was -10^oF)
On the down side the wind chill has DROPPED to -18^oF.

the 'global warming' crowd doesn't get it. if their point is that the environment is throwing the world's weather balance out of whack, then it won't be global warming or global cooling. similar to what happens to a top when its off balance, the weather will start to have wild fluctuations. This would mean higher highs, lower lows, and bigger storms. All these will come together and could bring the natural order back in line... or not

it's the CO2 levels that are the real indicators something is out of whack. what will happen as a result is anyone's guess.

This has turned into a religion indeed. Here in Canada it has become the so called number one political issue -with the constant attempts at reviving the tax hiking economy killing Kyoto Protocol. There are findings & reports countering all of the media fueled mass hysteria which in fact note that the planet is going through a natural cycle which it has in fact gone through in the past.
