Chris brought up Webb's quote from 1985 about how you can't fight a war and debate it at the same time

I would love to type what Webb is saying .. but he's not making sense .. plus he talks fast

Webb's splitting hairs now. He voted for Patreaus (sp) for his abiity to be a military officer, not for the military strategy.

Wallace did remind him that Patreaus is the author of the strategy ;-)

Looks like Wallace has more than redeemed himself with this interview of Webb. He's holding his feet to the fire rather than giving him a big wet kiss.

Wallace has put potato head to shame this morning.

So would I. Are the "transcripts" of the Sunday Talk Shows edited by the speakers (a la _The Congressional Record_) or are they verbatim ("raw") records of what was ACTUALLY said at the time?

The more I see of him, the more I can not for the life of me understand how the people of Virginia elected this person to represent them for six long years! I know that George Allen ran a terrible campaign, but Webb is such a jerk that I think some major fraud must have been involved for him to have pulled it out at the end. Also, he appears to have an unusually severe case of BDS which seems weird for a former Republican. It's more like a personal animosity toward the POTUS that is very evident when he refers to him. For now, he is managing to keep his feelings under control. but I don't think he will be able to make it through his entire term without having a major melt-down.
