Last week, far left-wing blogger Amanda Marcotte began her stint as Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards' "blogmaster:"

The question is: How long will the Edwards campaign want the "insightful" and "issues-oriented" Marcotte to be a part of them?
Seems that everyone but the Edwards campaign has tracked Marcotte's foul-mouthed nutroots diatribes. Or perhaps the Edwards team is well aware of her lunatic blogging and can't wait for her to unleash her unbridled anger on their spiffy website to give him a gritty, "progressive" edge.
Whatever the case, Walter Olson, K.C. Johnson, LieStoppers, and Jon Ham all caught Marcotte trying to cover the unhinged tracks at her old blog. At some point before she started her new job, she deleted a screed about the Duke lacrosse players that she had posted at Pandagon on Jan. 21. Jon Ham captured the cached screenshot:

Yep, they were on the show to challenge the "Popular Paradigm."
It's about deconstructionist theory. Deconstructionist theory is very popular on California Campuses, and has been, for many years.
It runs along the lines and in tandem with old pink/blue agenda of... "gender neutral" toys for children.
The next time you hear about a case is when the verdict is rendered.
I'm suspicious of this letter. I think the writer lives in Zimbabwe, not Durham.
Gee, that is brilliant. I wonder why I didn't think about it. A similar question though, would be if the races were reversed.
"Can't a few black boys sexually assault a white woman anymore without people getting all wound up about it? So unfair."
LMAO! Another Democrat-ick candidate shoots himself in the foot at the starting gate. Biden and Edwards - hair challenged and hairball.
Good catch!
Yes, they actually believe in innocent until proved guilty and protect the acused froim trial by public opinion. I'd like to see us stop lionizing every deviant in America by showing their pics all of the time.
However, when one has a runaway prosecutor and jury, what is one's recourse? I am all for stopping the constant media noise around most trials, but then you have a situation like the Duke case, and it makes you wonder which is the right way to go.
There is another aspect to this that makes me cringe. The accuser has been dragged through the mud without any lawyer objecting on her behalf. Supposedly Nifong had st himself up as her protector, but that just means he has kept her incommunicado and away from her family. Meanwhile the contents of her vagina have been boradcast everywhere. Jesse Jackson has promised her a scholarship, but I think she needed Gloria Alread.
All the more reason to get rid of the Greta/Nancy Grace type sleezebucket programs.
Court and TV are two words that shouldn't be put together until there is a verdict to report IMO. Whatever occasional small good they do are greatly outweighed by the potential harm they can cause when these type of cases are tried under media glare.
Odds are good even the producers and stars of these programs are aware of that.
OK by me.
PING!

The Concerned Duke Moms march this morning went off without a hitch. About 120 people gathered at the Durham County Judicial Building, and at 11:05 they stepped off on their about-three-mile march to Dukes Koskinen Stadium. Several Duke lacrosse parents were along for the trek, as were quite a few players and parents affiliated with Triangle-area high school lacrosse programs. A couple of UNC students were there in support of the players, as were a few former Duke mens and womens lacrosse players.
The Durham Police Departments were out in force, possibly fearing a counter-demonstration that might make things ugly, but that never materialized. The police were extremely helpful and courteous and stopped traffic at every intersection so the crowd could pass safely. Once the turn was made onto Dukes East Campus the Duke security folks took over.
The group arrived at Koskinen Stadium at 12:15 and, as luck would have it, the Duke team was practicing on the turf fields behind Koskinen. The supporters let go with a Lets Go Duke cheer for about 30 seconds and then applauded the players, who continued practicing. We were told that the Duke men and women players were told not to attend the march, also probably for fear of some ugly episode. However, Coach Danowski has had several Sunday practices so it didnt appear that this one was set up just to keep the guys from marching.
All in all it was a successful event. The marchers were very dignified, the signs were PG-rated and spirits were high. A shuttle was provided to get people back to their cars downtown, but the Shooters Nite Club party van also was provided to help with transportation. If youre ever in Durham for a game, stop off at Shooters (its downtown near Brightleaf Square, just around the corner from the James Joyce and the Federal).
Ill have a video up as soon as I can edit it and get it up on YouTube.
I don't know the answer. I certainly think Greta and Nancy and shows like that are UN-helpful, for the most part. But imagine yourself in the Duke defendant's case while being prohibited from talking about the case to any reporter or media person. You are prohibited from discussing the case with anyone, and the jury and the prosecutor are getting ready to convict you in order to be able to trumpet this before the voter (which they can do AFTER you are convicted).
Not sure we could count on the bar to do anything, nor even the judge, for that matter.
How about printing in full their early interview that they editted to put Mangum in a more favorable light? This not names those claiming they were raped is meaningless as any can find out if they want.
Can you imagine someone like that on a jury? Not only will they defy their instructions they will intimidate those who disagree with them. That was one scary diatribe of hatred, I will never understand how people can think this way.
Thank you, Miss Marple. I'm still thinking about why and if this is a good or bad thing.
Apparently her vagina received contents from everywhere.
Just curious: Wonder if Marcotte was/is a Member of the Austin Code Pink Chapter.
